  1. The problem with that is that the coax would need a model to stick out of the parent gun, if I recall, and a gatling gun with a shrike launcher jutting from an end is... unsatisfactory.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to put two turrets on the chassis, one for the gatling gun and another for the ATGM, but I have no idea how feasible that is.

I'm pretty sure. For example, max altitude on Recon in Rorce is only 2000 meters. You get shot full of 76, 90, and on occasion 120mm from the ground, even if you're idling in a far corner.

I see promise for a fast precision strike aircraft though. Something that drops its payload on a target and then extracts. It would be a great counter to snipers.

  3. I don't know if a bomber would be feasible. The max heights on the maps really aren't that high, which keeps you in range of every caliber of gun on the map except for 20mm and 14mm, so the bomber can't be protected by altitude like a B-52.

A bomber would have to be directly over a target to deliver its payload AND it would have to loiter around to find new targets. Sounds like Ion fodder to me.

But if you can make it work, all the power to you smile.gif .

  5. I replaced Clay's God Cannon with a high-velocity 20mm gatling gun and had success, though the thing still needs some nerfing:

Now I just need to figure out how to get some ATGMs on this thing.

Have you turned off the setting called "Terrain VBO"?

That seemed to work. Still a wee slow, but maybe I can bring myself out of poverty and purchase something decent in the near future.

    Gracias, seƱor!

As am I on everything except Creature Zoo, but that's only through a combination of poesel's new textures, a crappy connection, and a lower end compy.

Bane, what are your settings at and what's your specs? The sheer amount of trees on Rolling Hills may have been the thing killing you.

Silence, mortal. I sacrificed my first born to Mechwarrior 2.

Before going to far into trashing the review it has to be said that almost all reviews are unfair. The reviewer gets a truckload of stuff to review, ranging from games and other software to hardware of all sorts, logistically, he/she can't honestly be expected to give the hours upon hours of time to a game, of all things.

And let's face it, DropTeam is the kind of game that needs that large amount of time to really get into.

    Unfair review, yeah. Unexpected, no.
