good point!! im a big osfront fan...although to be honest i think its got its work cut out against Achtung panzer:operation star.but worth keeping in mind but im after the tiger tank so, i guess it,ll be the CF module for now might think it over a bit more...lol by the way,any date roughly for the eastern front game?

mmmm im sure i read somewhere that if you only wanted the d/l without 2.0 patch..because you already have it that.you will still get it at a discount?...would love Battlefront staff to make this issue a bit clearer.it seems strange that someone who wants to pre-order the addon cant because it can only be pre-ordered with the patch.but ive already bought the patch.

can i just ask the Battlefront guys....what is the point?.....people who are having probs trying to get the game to run are being told to turn this off and that off,,,one of the good things well the best IMO..is the graphics !!!.....if we have to turn everything off to get it to run or run at a decent frame rate..we might as well play the awesome CMBB or one of the other CM games!..which i think a lot of people will agree are better games.as far as variety etc is concerned at least !and seem to run very stable on any machine..im not knocking you guys,,but it really does seem we have a very poor game engine here..and a lot of this stuff should have been picked up and addressed in beta phase...hopefully a patc will addres ALL these problems and allow all the people who have bought this game to run it as it should be run!..it runs brilliantly on my xp drive but no chance of getting it to start on MY vista DRIVE,,tried everything ..good luck with the patch !!..and looking forward to CMC

Got to agree with some of the points made.and add a few of my own.i lovs playing ww2 strategy games.played most of them over the years most good some bad.and to be honest..i was very disappointed with this one..i know its not like CMBB [what is?]. but its just so poor to play for instance..soldiers are nothing more than fodder.strange how your troops die a lot easier than AI ones !.your tanks are knocked out in 1 hit usually..even if a tiger or panther.we are talking tough tanks here.for instance on the first russian campaign mission had a group of infantry behind a wall far side of the village.in laid position..[ie:concealed]. the germans soon wiped my forces out.and then ALL made a b-line for my concealed troops????? and the biggest letdown suprisingly since it was one of the brilliant features in CM games entering buildings..theres only so many fields and small villages you can fight through before it starts to get dull. one the plus side it looks brilliant and the smoke from tank exhausts etc are awesome...can i make a genuine suggestion guys? port CMBB over to this engine and sort out building entering etc...and there you will have one hell of a game!!....but as it stands at the moment. well down as far as ww2 strategy games go

had lots of problems trying to get demo to run in vista64..tried ALL the tips in here etc..butCTD everytime..then got the the full download..same with it..but runs brilliant[ all top settings no lag at all] in XP on my other hard drive????...but not the editor wmt run in either..which leads me to think its got to be an issue with the operating sysyem?...i would have thought a lot of these problems would have been ironed out in beta testing?..not critising but very rare a game is released nowadays woth seemingly so many running problems...looking forward to CMC

Thanks for getting back again Rune ! the card i have in is a ATI Radeon 1950 pro 512mb. PLUS ATI DRIVER SET 8.3 so.completely up to date..as i said loaded it on my other drive with XP and same drivers etc,,,no problems at all runs in top settings no lag in the game or anything.

Thanks Rune...tried all that. im running VISTA 64 too.no luck.....thanks freeboy..not the res on the monitor...runs perfect in XP on the other drive..no probs whatsoever...looks like im doomed to play the pre-relaes..[when finally released ;-(.on xp thanks for the help guys !!

yep pretty good demo...just a bit disappointed no town/city battles in the full game ie:Stalingrad/Berlin/Warsaw etc,,or entering buildings,,,big part of the CM series for me!!,,has a lot of pluses but a few major minuses too

read all the threads in tech support today and after trying everything...still comes up with "problem with tow.exe" and crashes back to desktop.when i try to run it in vista !!...latest drivers etc ...all installed...loaded it onto my other drive which has XP on...no probs at all...same drivers etc..etc.which leads me to think theres a real problem running TOW on windows vista !! patch forthcoming methinks??

Hi,Hubert...yes wont let me make any resolution adjustments.either in the game or before i start it.im running the desktop at 1400X900.and the graphics card i have is an ati radeon x800 256mb.direct x 9.0c etc dont know if this helps but, the same thing happened when i had the demo. any help would be greatly appreciated

downloaded the full game.and installed it...but it only recognizes 1040x760 resolution..although my screen etc are set higher...dont have any problems with any other games/programs??..ps very high spec sytem
