  1. Thank-you, Sixxkiller, for the suggestion. I am using NVIDIA driver 71.84 which appears to be the last one that supports my graphics card (later ones do not) Stalin's Organist: Thanks for letting me know I am not alone in this. Perhaps the programmers will devise a fix. I'll keep an eye open, but until then will consider DiF to be unplayable on my system.
  2. Well, a perusal of posts including "freezing" did not locate a solution. I did find your post of Sept. 9, 2005, but the suggestion to minimize and restore the window did nothing. I also tried minimizing and restoring all the open windows pertaining to DiF (the Lobby, dogfight preview, the two overview pages) and then closing all those. Nothing. Perhaps one of the Moderators will have a suggestion. BTW S.O. I really like your signature.
  3. Thanks Stalin's Organist, I'll read through the posts concerning "freeze" My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro. 32MB. It sounds like your hardware is way more powerful than mine, so perhaps that is the problem after all.
  4. I downloaded the current demo today. When I started playing I found that whenever the AI had a turn I would get the message "[pilot name] is choosing a maneuver..." or "[pilot name] is choosing a target..." and then nothing would happen. This has occurred a half dozen times, and once I waited over 20 minutes for something to happen. Also, when I click on the timer, up pops a message box saying the game has been paused, and to click on the "resume" button to resume play. Clicking on "resume" locks the game up, stopping all animation. I am playing on a Pentium III 800mhz, Windows ME, 384 RAM Any suggestions?
