  1. I've been playing the "Attack on Zalissya" battle as part of the "Shield of Kiev" campaign.  My OPLAT tank's APS system was triggered by what appeared to be a AT round flying along at ground level.  What is odd is, the shot came from off-map and from behind (Blue/friendly side of battle map).  I understand that artillery and air assets are off-map and maybe I was hit by one of these, but it seems unlikely since the shot is so low and it appears to not be a rocket or missile fired from aircraft.  Also, after my tank was hit, it took no action (other the the automatic APS system); e.g. triggering smoke and repositioning toward the direction of the attack.

This doesn't seem to be correct to me, but maybe my lack of understanding the engine.  Any thoughts?

  2. What does this entry mean?:

    * Corrected an accuracy problem with on-map indirect fire

Mortars are more or less accurate?

I expereinced some really inaccuate mortar fire with 2.00; some were hitting several hundred yards away from my target point. Tested this today with 2.01 in a quik mission and it appears that it's way more accurate now.

  3. Hi,

I'm playing the first mission of the Counter Offensive campaign and I've pushed out or killed all the enemy units in the village, but the mission won't end. Any idea what the trigger might be? I'm hoping that I don't have to eliminate every last unit on the map to win, like in TOW1.

I've attached a screenshot of my last save. I actually had many more units throughtout the village than this, and the mission justs continues. Orders are to "Destroy the enemy's defenses and capture the position (marked as "1" on the map)". I think I've done that.

    Thnx,

  4. Wow, what a tough battle....took me several tries. I found that "hold fire" and positioning my tanks to the flanks of where the enemy was approaching thru the passes helped a lot; and saving my game after each significant advancement ;-)

    On to Tebessa!
