If what was posted up thread about most of the casualties behind the wall being from rifle grenades is the case, then most of this discussion is pointless. Being behind a wall may in fact be excellent cover from incoming bullets, but no cover at all from fragments of grenades exploding on the same side of the wall. And since, as has been noted, the soldiers behind the wall are in a more upright position, their vulnerability to such fragments is actually increased.
Michael
That's debatable. Prone bodies present a greater surface area to a grenade exploding above them than kneeling bodies do. Conversely, a kneeling soldier would present more target area than a prone one to a grenade exploding on the ground.

Camera movement stops too soon beyond the map edges? Really? You're really going to complain about that?
Why shouldn't he? I feel it's a bother also.

Will these Vista Patches work with the CM Anthology (all 3 cm games) published by CDV?

Can any one provide a link to the download ati text fix for this problem?
I couldn't locate in the download section and search did not help.

I found a work around. Alt Tab out of game then re-enter, makes the text reappear.

I'm experiencing this in just CMAK after upgrading the drivers of my ati x1950. I made AA application manage with no luck.

Does anyone have a source for CMBB 1.01 CDV version (European) patch? Google no help so far and only 1.02, 1.03 available on File Front.

Of course it works. And it's free. But it deprives you of the ego-reinforcing pleasure of casting aspersions on BFC in public -- so what use is it?
Talk about ego reinforcing pleasure.

Thank you very much slug88.

Is it possible to "chain" moves together? For example, I want a vehicle to move from A to B. Then stop and face North. Then pop smoke.

Hey Omenowl, if you're done flagelating yourself now they need some martyrs in Iraq.

I want to have incoming and outgoing emails in the same folder instead of 2 separate ones. Is there a way to do this?

Should make this a sticky.

So how about we cut our use of oil and let all those bastards drink it?
I'd actually be in favor of this one..I was so pi$$ed off at the implication from Iran and Venezuela that somehow the US is hurting those countries by purchasing oil..I would love them to be left holding something of limited value while the world moves past the need for their black mud..unfortunately, seems likely to happen only in the future.

Not if it takes out a 6 million dollar tank.
If I were an infantry commander in Iraq and my choice were to send in a platoon of infantry into an ied and insurgent infested building or use a $100,000 missile it's a no brainer.
Fire power saves lives and I don't think any parent of a trooper or any superior officer would begrudge the extra cost.

No tea bagging while under fire!

Swamp did you breathe too much methane gas?
-
Only? That's a lot added to the 75 lbs each man is probably packing already. That would slow most people down.

Steve, your arrogance is breath taking. I'm amused to see that others in your company (perhaps Charles?) just ignore your public put downs of your customers as ignorant whiners who "just don't get it", and put such items as the space bar command menu, and fixed waypoints finding and other "CMx1" features in the patches. This being done despite your insistence that they were not needed, were the old way, etc.
Whoever is working behind the scenes, keep it up. Keep Steve on a leash and away from the customers and you might get some success from your current efforts.

Thanks for the answers.

Is it possible in the wego mode to string commands together such that embarked troops will deploy once the stryker has reached position and stopped?
This was done in CM1 and was very handy.

That negates "reconnaisance by fire". Many times I would suspect an enemy might be in buildings or brush and I would fire into those places. If area fire is not allowed unless the enemy is spotted, this valuable and realistic tactic is not available.
