  1. The AI is an issue. Try giving USSR and USA 9999 MPP boost and you will have to work to get into USSR. You can also edit US placement positions to the UK in the editor if you want. I heard Hubert is slaving away on the AI.

I have given the AI this boost on both sides and I took me longer to take them out but it was more of a challenge than just the regular 39 scenario.

Another bet is just to play multiplayer to get more of a challenge.

  2. The amphib aspect is too unrealistic. I guess a quick fix solution is to limit the movement of amphibs to 2 or 3. Germany can knockout the UK by the time of Barby. Germany can focus on creating a line in the east (for defensive purposes while Sea Lion goes on). With 6 airfleets plus Italian air should make England go down quickly. Then Germany can easily pile on the east and hold the US at bay or even do another amphibing to the US or Canada (takes two to three turns to travel east).

But maybe, there is of course stuff we don't know yet as the testers have probably hashed out this probability.

UK would need scripting for homeguard units to mobilize like crazy in 1940 or 1941 if sea Lion is attempted those years for balancing. Also maybe for the US to mobilize troops if an invasion happens at that time also in the US or Canada.

Would Germany manage if UK is knocked out against US and USSR even if the eastern front is prepped for a defensive front at first? I think so.

  3. I started amphibbing most of my forces instead of going for France and took out the main cities in England. But USA and USSR declared war and UK government escapes to Alexandria. On the other hand, I think the amphib feature is a bit overpowered as to be able to do this early on like this is askew in August of 1940. I think that they should not be able to unload right away after their movement. This is a big exploit.

Amphib major operations should not be possible like this without proper naval and air coverage.

  4. Announcements were made earlier when the game would be released and then sorry? We changed our minds. I know Hubert is slaving away but this project should have been managed timewise. Incomplete game you say, it seems to be fully functional with the AARs you folks are doing. It can't be a Venus de Milo. Release date should have just been kept quiet in the first place - end of story. Instead of creating this great anticipation and then big let down. it's easy to take the high road when you are tinkering with the game right now while the other poor slobs (like me) patiently awaited for their Christmas gift or like when Al Bundy was waiting for his pizza to arrive. Just ranting and raving, nothing personal. Hubert had a lot of great input from the gaming community when SC1 came out and he worked to take care of them.

  5. Why do we even bother checking this forum? Big waste of time, it will be out when it comes out. Finito. No need to be reverent and drooling asking when the game comes out. Just very frustrated. Developer did not follow schedule in releasing the game and kept on incorporating stuff. Later patches would have been fine thank you with input from the general community as before. Hubert you did very well on this before. Why isn't the publisher tightening the screws? This is very undisciplined. Sorry for the rant but things should have been handled differently here.
