I just reloaded DIF and the expansion on to my computer. I haven't played the game since '07. As for people on-line, I have never seen anyone on-line when I've been on, even back in '06-'07. Either everyone plays against the AI or I've been having bad luck, on-line.

I'm looking for scenarios/operations in CM:AK that have the M3 Grant/Lee tank in them? For some odd reason I haven't came across one in the game yet. I've only played on the US side. Maybe I need to play the British and on the Axis side. Thanks

I've been on other web site forums and asked game questions before & several times I never get a response. I'm sure that I'm not the only one that has gone through that. Keep up the great work!!!! Update..... When installing CM:AK on Win98 I always received the error massage. When Installing CM:AK to WIN XP, no error message.

I just finished playing a 1 on 1 dogfight as the British. I shot down both Japanese planes without receiving any damage however, I was given a minor defeat as the outcome. Any idea why this would be? :confused: :confused: :confused:

Is there any reason why the pilot skill Target Pilot is an Expended skill and not a Permanent one? :confused: I would think that any skill that originally cost 100 XP would be permanent.

Not that anyone had noticed I was gone :eek: I sold my orginal DIF earlier this year. However, I was still getting a desire to play the game. Since then , I bought a new computer (use to have win98) and Eastern Front came out. Just bought the bundle pack. I am enjoying the game more with having the extra countries. One great asset for this game is that you can fly a couple of missions in about five minutes Thanks for putting out an enjoyable card-computer game.

Thanks for the responses, guys. The wav file sounds fine when I click on it, and the file size is good also. Just a little stumped as to why it does it. None of my other two CM games have a loading problem. Thanks again

Thanks for the tips/advice. The 40202 wav file is 188kb, sounds ok. Sounds like an Italian talking. Actually, I'm still running win 98:)

I own the CM:AK special edition. When loading the game it uses WINRAR self extracting archive. Everything loads fine except when it is extracting the wav files. It loads wav\00104304.wav, next it loads wav\00040202.wav. Next, I get an error message. It says: "Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy & retry the installation." At the bottom of the error box I have two options, close and cancel. After selecting either close or cancel, the program continues to load the game. I orginally had WinRAR loaded on my computer. After getting the error message I deleted the program and uninstalled the game. Next, I reloaded and installed the game and still received the error message. I'm not sure if the error is causing part of the game not to load or it is causing no harm to the game. Has anyone else had this problem? Or maybe someone has some insight as to if it is a harmless error or not? Thanks

I've been kicking the ram thing around for a while. I'm running 191 right now. Just ordered a 128 chip. My computer max's out at 256. Hopefully that will do it!

If I have skills that affect the enemy's wingman, what happens if the enemy's wingman becomes a leader, due to the enemy's leader going DIF? Are all those skills I have against a wingman thrown out the window or is he still considered a wingman by the AI? :confused:

Thanks for asking Brian fixed my hang up problem. Plus he had suggested to play a few games and then stop playing and get out of the game completely. With WIN98 the longer you play DIF the more memory gets consumed. So now the game doesn't hang on me when I play the AI however, I still can not play any games on the internet! That is my only hanging problem now.

Brian, Just emailed the error files to you. Last night I "got hung" again! I played 2 games against the AI with no problem. I have to do this every time to make sure the game is not hanging up before I play my US fliers who are not properly rested due to past game hang ups. Then in my 3rd game when I was playing with my favorite and most developed flyers, the US, the game hangs up on me. I can't win for trying!!!

Yes I do. You can't get the game to run at all if you don't install it.

Well, I reformatted my hard drive. Game Started out fine. I was able to download DIF update with no problem. However, I still can not play a game on the internet :confused: Was playing the AI last night and today and game started hanging up alot. Actually receivedan error message durring the game when my leader was shot down on a 1:1 flight. It occurred on turn 3, my leader was flying a Ki-27 Nate(L). Message stated "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"...."at bartbert games.difo.client.forms.mainForm.command PlayCard(string command(XML)". While copying this message down another 2 or 3 came up stating difo.sharedGame Engine Class. Process Set Damage (string command...) I am running WIN98SE... Need help!!!

If the TBF Advenger ever becomes a chosen update, a picture of it from the rear starboard side would be a good choice. This way the trademark rear gunner position enclosed in glass and the the rear access door could be shown.

Dan, What about changing the picture of the SBD so it is in sunlight with a nice blue background,( like the Wildcat background) and a nice side view (also like the Wildcat picture), having open windows, showing the rear gunner position, and also showing the perforated metal dive-brakes on the wings (its trademark, in my opinion). :cool: My reason for this is that the Dauntless made history in the Battle of Midway by helping change the tide in the Pacific in favor of the Allies. In the current picture of the Dauntless, the blue is too dark. I believe a nice blue sky would help show the details of the airplane better and be more realistic of good attack weather. Tried doing the minimize/ restore thing. No such luck. When the game hangs up I can still click on any plane to get pilot info and I can see what cards my leader has. I can even go back to DIF Lobby and manage pilots. However, the computer will not do anything in the game that it is currently involved in.

I can log on and have been able to create pilots. My problem comes in after I select a mission and after clicking on the Dogfight Preview. After clicking on it I get the background colors, blue for the sky, black for the pilot and plane info but, no pictures of the planes. Next the game "seams" to freeze up on me. :confused:
