  1. Thanks for the reply. I'll keep looking into it but at the moment I still don't know what or where the actual 3D model files are...
  2. Bump Is there an answer to this?! Maybe a simpler question, is it possible for the community to get new tanks models into the game? A yes or no would be just fine for now
  3. It happened at Salisbury a couple of years ago, Challenger 2 fliped over when the track broke on a fast turn.
  4. http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=46;t=000386 http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/t72tank.htm OFS is HEAT
  5. BKS isn't HEAT, it's Fragmentation-HE so I'm not suprised the chopper went down. Obviously it'll be a lot trickier to hit a moving target
  6. Frag-HE-T ...apparently And the BPS is the equal of the APFSDS-T
  7. My grandfather was a British Army tank driver in the war, he started as a Universal Carrier driver, had a brief spell driving a Grant before becomming a Sherman driver. He loved that firefly. I used to listen to his stories all the time and got facinated by the day to day operations of tanks. Through my school life I used to live not far from Bovington Tank museum and visited all the time. Going through college right now collecting grades, started doing 3D stuff as a hobby (Here's a tiger I made) and once I finish college in a coupla years I'd like to join the Royal Armoured Corps and drive a Challenger 2. Daskal I know what you mean by people thinking it's a weird hobby. My bedroom is full of tank models and unopened kits. My friends all know I'm obsessed with tanks and think it's kinda weird, so I don't get to talk them very often. It's ok though, I'm happy to keep my hobbies to myself EDIT= AK47, if you ever get the chance to visit England, go to the bovington tank museum between Pool and Weymouth. They recently finished restoring a captured Tiger tank to running condition. The only running Tiger tank left in the world. It's fantastic!! 8. I'm guessing it'll have somthing like HE, HEAT, SABOT... I'm also guessing the labels are hiphonated Russian names for shells, my Russian is a little rusty (non-existant) so I can't say for sure
  9. Here's one for the Devs. T-72 seems to be a fairly stable, decent tank sim, (quick judgement, only played the Demo), However, there does seem to be one place where it lacks: Tanks. Am I right in thinking that the lack of tanks in the game means that the Devs are hoping for high mod community input, like Microsoft Train Simulator? How easy would it be to add a new tank to the game? Modelling aside, what would I need to do to get a tank from, say, 3D Studio Max to the game? Thanks for any replies on this
