  1. Ok, I'm new to this game, and a couple things are confusing me a bit, maybe someone can shed some light on these. My bad if I missed the answers to these in the manual. 1. I read some threads on aa guns, but was wondering if distance/range matters--can you place them anywhere on the map? If I put the aa guns at the far southern end of the map, will they be effective all the way to the northern end? 2. Say you have infantry riding on a tank or halftrack. I want the halftrack to drive from point a to point b, then I want the infantry to get out at point b, all in one turn. I DON'T want them to get out at point a and just walk over to point b on foot. Most of the time when I try this they do the logical thing and ride the halftrack, but sometimes they just jump out and start walking and I'm not sure why--any way to insure they do this the way I want? I am pretty sure it was not because their ride came under fire. I guess that's it really, thanks
  2. Thanks guys, that got me started and figuring out how this works.
  3. I have been looking at mods for cmbb, and I'm kind of overwhelmed with how many there are. Are there any mod collections that are thought of as a good starting point to generally enhance graphics or sound or should i just piece it together as I go? Thanks
  4. Hi, I just got cm afrika corps, and I can tell I'm going to be spending a lot of time playing it, but I've got a few questions. I scanned through the hints and tips section and also read some guides on tactics, but if anyone can point me towards some beginner resources I'd appreciated it. Anyway, one thing I can't figure out is what to do when my units change their own orders. For example, say I have some infantry moving or advancing forward, and they get pinned down during the action phase. Then when I got to move them again, they might have a waypoint set to sneak away from the battle or way off to the side. When this happens, it seems like i could either delete the order and give a new one which would give me a longer delay. Or I could move their waypoint somewhere that isn't as far away. Or I could just let them go where they want and then when they calm down bring them back into the fray. Depends on the situation, but any thoughts on this? Thanks.
