When I watched the T34 movie I was struck by the landscape and how much it made me think of the Russian steppes where so many tank battles were fought. I've also downloaded the "unofficial demo" for this game and was impressed at how infantry is represented. These guys really ought to release a video that shows the infantry. I must say though IMHO that because the game only features Eastern Bloc equipment that I cannot avoid the feeling that the game seems only "half baked" and that with only a little more time in the oven to add some Abrams tanks, Bradleys, Humvees and US infantry it be "finished". Isn't the heavy lifting of this game already done? The engine, graphics, interface, gameplay are finished and all thats left is more units.

OK, but it would still be nice to mod things in the game. I'm talking about buildings and such. You know things like...well...schools for instance. I don't begrudge these folks for not including every bell and whistle but it seems to me that it was made deliberately the way it is so they can can come right back at us with an add-on for another $30. If they add new maps and vehicles other than EastBloc I'll be the first to buy it though.

I downloaded the demo for this game and thought it was the best tank sim I've seen in over 5 years. Well...it's also the only serious tank sim we've seen in over 5 years too. This game kind of reminds me of KA-52 Team Alligator in that only Russian equipment is present. I'd have to say that that was the only reason I didn't like the game as much as I would have if there were Western equipment present. If there are no plans to include Western equipment in the game then why not make it more mod friendly?
