  2. I played advance squad leader back in the day.

    awesome game, played close combat and many simulation oriented games like sturmovik, silent hunter etc

    tried CM but did not like it much, everything seemed to perfect and contrived with all the pausing and perfectly coreographed movements (prepared for flame ;)

  3. this looks absolutely great....

    only minor problem is that their are only VERY LARGE long undulating hills rather than the smaller dead ground and sharper rises you get in real life.

    I mean some places will be exactly as described in the screenshots, long perfectly rounded hills stretching for 1km or more. In RL I noticed a lot of rough ground which is not flat or a soft gradient but sharp gadients perhaps within a smaller hill that is perfect for infantry only.

    Are their any cliffs, overhangs or terrain that is impassable to tanks but not infantry??

    Again, this is just a minor thing i noticed

  4. I would like to clear up how much detail is being taken with the infantry. I really want to know whether the infantry are just accessories to the vehicles - you know they support them a little but are really their for looks.

    OR

    Like in Close Combat you can have a very intense infantry combat experience without any vehicles on the map.

    I am sure this will become clear over time and am really hoping that in a game of this scale infantry play a major part.
