Back to the topic of AT guns, I recently played a little QB in NA, July 42, I'm the limeys, AI is the snausage eaters, I'm infantry only, AI, is armor. I went to view level 1 to place my 2 pdrs, 2 in a position, and put them hull down. Well at least it seems like its hull down, just with no hull. Anyways, I lost 2 2 pdrs out of 6, and 0 6 pdrs out of 2. I almost shat myself, I'd never had guns last for more than a turn before, and here most of mine lasted 25. So try going hull down on your guns, with a sort of berm or rise right in front of the gun. Works wonders. And we all know Americans invented English....at least that's what they told me in my education system, ranked 47th in the US....god it's pathetic

martyr, it doesn't bother me, but i have friends in alaska (its kinda like canada, just less american) and apparently, the word "eskimo" is waaaaaaaaaay offensive. just to let you know, if you cared.

my main problem with BB is the fact that one of the german's advantages, the ability to stand off at long ranges (1-2k) and take out enemy t-34s, is totally negated. You can have a crack pzIVG sitting in some trees ambush 1 regular t-34 from 1300 meters, but invariably the t-34 will out shoot it. Maybe I'm a whiny crybaby, but I have regular/green t-34s outshoot crack wermacht tanks on a WAY too regular basis. Is it just me, or is the AI a little too good at shooting its tanks?

King, Let me know when the St Malo scenario pack comes out, I was recently there and so am interested in the battles around it.
In response to the original question, not so much, as im not very good even with AK and BBs movement improvements, but Bo is still fun with infantry fights....

did anyone notice the designers talking about how they would "HATE doing another 9 years of WW2"? I did, which leads me to think that ww2 will not even be covered. but what do i know? nothing.

it is very easy to question the motives and politics of our ancestors. The fact remains that nazism is BAD, eveil if you will. It was a system which not only killed millions for their genetic heritage, it killed millions of its own citizens for speaking out against it. So how were the nazis ok? they were not, and while i may not be the ww2 grog you are due to my youth, i can recognize the nazis as the definition of eveil in the 20th century AT LEAST. nazi loving dip**** bastard, do you need to US to kick you in the balls AGAIN? with help from limeys and canucks AGAIN? some people get off on pissing others off

jason, you mention scouting with t-70s, but not "scout by death". I was unaware there is another way? for recon with light armor i am lost, if i use hunt they stop in front of somthing they know will kill them, move to contact and they stop in front of a sniper to get blown away by some unseen AT, or fast move always gets me shot in the sides. should i use smaller movement orders or a different type of move? please feel free to spend 4000 words on one of your uber helpful replies.

one question SLIGHTLY related to this topic: does blast rating affect troops differently at different stages in the war? what i mean is will a 20mm autocannon pin or rout soldiers better early in the war? i am actually having trouble expressing my question, if anyone needs me to restate it let me know.

Will a regular british squad in 1941 suffer more of a morale hit or more casualties than a regular british squad in 1944 from a 20mm round?

the qualification means that it MIGHT be any form of infantry, (i.e, a squad will sometimes show up simply as "infantry?" until it is further IDed. I think this might be compounded by the fact that some US platoon hq units are 10 men strong.

If the problem is being hull-down as you shoot, simply go to view level one, and eyeball your shoot point. For good practice in shoot and scoot try the scenario " ! A series of misfortunes!" that comes with the CMAK companion pack. i still havent got it, but im workin on it.

i recently played a qb where i got a ferdinand. WOW. WOOOOOOOOW. im sure IRL they were nowhere near as good as in game, but seriously. I set up a lil scenario where 4 Ferdinands and some arty observers get rushed by a battalion each of t34 and infantry, with ANOTHER battalino of each coming in as soviet reinforcments. The only german reinforcements? a platoon of brumbarr...god isn't life grand when theres russkies to unhistorically slaughter?

so long as CMx2 will be on mac...and long ago i asked and was told it was....so ill be happy. and while CM on a platform online WOULD be nice, it seems that computer games dont transfer well to consoles do to lack of a cursor.

I think the basic premise of this post, and the mindset of all the developers to SHUT THE HELL UP if you don't like the ideas. Like they are going to change their minds because three people bitch and moan? this is their jobs people, theyre not in the business of losing money (although as i'll tell you, that's a growth industry right there). So to sum it up, if you don't like CMx2, don't buy it, and we'll all see you in hell. I hope this doesn't get edited or summthing.

what are the effective ranges of wurfmines and rpgs? fausts are easy, the number is the range, shrecks too. but i don't know much about the wurfmine so i can't guesstimate what the range is. i mean suggested range too, not maximum.

i enjoy early war scenarios but for this one fact. as i recall, german tanks in the early war years (39-41) were not so great, in fact in some ways inferior to their opponents, and that the early german tank victories were largelly due to good german (or rather poor british) tactics. therefore, i play a nth africa scenario and get trounced by the tommoie, simply cuz i'm ****e with armour. but its good practice.
