General Confusion

Thanks for the quick reply. Lots of my stuff is done. I'm going to see if there's a demo before pulling the trigger. Off topic, any ideas how to get Afrika Korps to work? It seems like it is based on the same engine right? I've tried all the tips so far. The issues are with things like smoke, text like place names, and boundry edges. They vibrate, or make trails when the map scrolls. I have it set to XP mode, no anti aliasing, etc. My Nvidia driver is the latest, DirectX 10 is fine. I'm not going to put older drivers or older directx on this box. I'm not smart enough to fix what I'll break Thanks again.

I just got a Dell XPS 420. Quad Core, 3GB RAM, Nvidia 8800GT graphics card, 22 inch monitor. Vista Premium. I saved up for a year to pay for this. Afrika Korps graphics are a bust. Will TOW run on this box? I'd love to buy it, but I just don't have time to spend tinkering and digging through trouble shooting guides. One reason I bought this box was to play your games. Please tell me I'm not going to get burned, and that if something doesn't work, I can return it. thanks. GC
