  1. Thanks for the reply and information! I will go ahead, order and download. Much appreciated.
  2. I would like to download the Marines add on. It looks terrific and I don't want to wait for the CD version-although I will get that also. I have CMSF installed from the CD version. Can I add the download version of Marines to my CD version of CMSF, or will there be a conflict of some kind?
  3. Thanks Tom! Did what you suggested and it works now. <Salute>
  4. Some progress made! I followed your instructions and now can get a window to appear that has a gray background with a blue boarder at the top with the name "Builder" in the upper left corner, But it does not evolve further. No menu options to open and nothing appears below in this gray background.
  5. Thanks for the suggestion, but, I have the downloaded version. I have the DVD..but have not changed over to it. I sent a follow up email to you that the game runs fine..in fact a lot better than before the patch. It is the Map Editor that won't open and run.
  6. Thanks very much for looking at this. I sent you the builder.lst and the cppcrash folder.
  7. The game updated fine. I have the Map Editor icon on the desktop. The Mission Editor runs fine..but the Map Editor will not start. The hard drive spins, stops spins more..and then spins again as if it will start..then it quits and there is nothing. I rebooted a bunch of times..but no dice. I am not running Vista. The game runs fine as well as the Mission Editor. I tried the exe file straight in the folder and it is the same. It will spin the hard drive some..but then nothing. No error report. In Windows Task manager, in Prosesses, the builder.exe appears...the hard drive is accessed a couple of times..then the builder.exe disapears and nothing happens. Any ideas would be appreciated!
  8. I rebooted.. (three times) and no dice. I notice that the hard drive does run longer..but then nothing.. No I am not running Vista. The Mission Editor still runs fine.. But no Map Editor.
  9. I know I must be missing something..but when I click on the build exe, or the desk top icon, etc for the map builder, the hard drive goes on a couple of times and then nothing. Anyone have a suggestion? I apologize ahead of time if I am missing something obvious.
  10. Flintlock, thanks for the reply and information. I am disapointed to hear it..but not a big deal either. Guess I am too used to playing CM and made a wrong assumption as to buildings. Gunnersman...not sure what you mean by your question. Am I new to this game and the boards? Yes, I am. Did I appreciate a direct and clear answer? You bet!
  11. I have been trying to get my troops inside buildings, but no dice. I can't believe we can't get our people inside a building. What is the way to get it done?
  12. Ok..this worked for me! I went back to that config program you need to run first to run the game. This time, I hit the "AUTO-DETECT" button in this config utility (down at the bottom) and let it auto-select everything. THEN, I made the changes I wanted. The game then launched perfectly and has from then on. Hope this works for others!
  13. I downloaded the game last night. Just now had a chance to install it. It toiok the license, no problem. Butsame problem for me..the game will not start!!!!!!!!!!!! No error msg. just the hour glass symbol of activity for about 5 secs then NOTHING! This is really upsetting! Anyone have an answer??????
