The Combat Mission series is one of Battlefront's premiere achievements, and it would appear that Theater of War ranks up there as well, but CM Strike Force has a number of factors that should give it a much lower ranking, and it is, in my limited opinion, a very disappointing simulation. Having said the above, I might add, that if Battlefront goes back on their stated purpose to develop CMC, their reputation hangs in the balance.

If they ever get this program developed, it will be a landmark achievement for the CM game genre. It will open up broad possibilities for all such programs, a welcome accomplishment by all tactical gamers like us.

I'm currently looking for people to play CMBB over the internet. The e-mail scene is too slow for me. I used to play East Front II and West Front (Talonsoft games) via e-mail, but that format was faster than that which is used for CMBB. I had noted that CMBB had about three different patches associated with it, and now I see that there is a special edition now available for this game out, CMBB Special Edition. Am I correct in assuming that this version of the game will not require the three patches (1.o1, 1.02 and 1.03) to be applied to it if I should purchase it. Up to this point I only own the excellent CMBO Special Edition (requiring no patches)and have been contemplating the purchase of CMBB with the realization that I'd need to acquire the patches as well to bring it up to date. So, I'm assuming that CMBB's special addition will already have had these updates included in it. Am I correct in that assumption?

Where can I go to download more scenarios and operations for CMBO? Thanks for the info ahead of time.
