Actually, that's the most intelligent reply. I've never seen anybody give extra points to allies so far in multiplayer games(QB). Is it common practice?
  2. Battlefront should release a patch that allow us to play allies VS allies. Then the game would finally be fair!

Seriously, I'm tired of people who can't play allies without whining about their opponent being "gamey". Yes, German have better MGs, guns and tanks, so what? Stop crying and fight. Learn about the German tanks weaknesses and humiliate your rival, instead of yourself.

  3. For me, it's the complete opposite. I prefer QB maps to man made ones because they feel more natural. When I play on maps made by people, I always wonder about things like: "was this bump in the terrain specifically placed there by the author so I could assault this position more easily" and such. The computer is much closer to nature's way of placing things. The only inconvinient is if you choose a town or large town setting, then you can end up with silly roads and buildings setup.

  4. So far, I've never been able to use wall successfuly in a multiplayer game. While your squads do get cover and protection when they are behind the wall, getting there and moving out is still dangerous considering walls only appear on open terrain. I've never been lucky enough to have a wall that could be used in a defensive position.

  5. Am I the only one annoyed about the fact that winter uniforms will only appear if there is snow? In Quickbattles, you can't choose snow as ground condition, but only choose it as weather condition (Which makes vehicles and men move very slowly). So unless it's snowing, you can't get winter uniforms in QBs. Because of that, Even if you are in the middle of january with frozen temperature and strong winds, your men still wear their regular uniforms.

Shouldn't we be able to choose the ground condition? Then at least we could pick light snow and get the uniforms without all the inconvinent that comes with the "snowing" weather condition. Or their use could be linked to month and temperature, but that would cause problems to those using white winter uniforms.

  6. I'd like something simple to be added.

    An automatic firing arc hotkey:

You select one or many units, press that key and the game automatically assign a 180 degree arc at maximum effective range(like 100m for infantry mostly armed with rifles) in the direction the unit is facing. This would be useful for a defending player who could quickly give an arc to all his units and then do some adjustments.

  7. I wish we could choose which weapon we use when we give a target command. The game asks you if you want to use the main gun when you do an area target, but the MG is always used. This is annoying when you waste all your MG rounds in order to take down a building with the main gun.

  8. Why do certain armored vehicles carry so few ammunition for their MGs? As an example, a jagpanther or stugIII has only 24 ammo points while a panther will have 204. Does MG ammunition take that much space in a tank? Why is there such a big difference between certain types of tank?

But in CMBO, the sniper would get spotted and targetted by all enemies in its LOS after firing the first or second shot. In CMAK, they can fire all their munition.
  10. Snipers are nearly invisible to the enemy if they stay at least 150-200m away from them and avoid being in the open.

They are very useful if you are defending or doing a meeting engagement. They can spot and indentify incoming enemy forces quickly. I wouldn't recommend using them on the attack since they aren't very good at spotting and killing entrenched enemies.

It's fairly easy to make a sniper sneak all the way behind enemy lines and kill tank commanders, mortar and MG crew.

  11. I learned much more by playing Quick battles rather than scenarios. Start with small battles(attack, defense or meeting engagement) that have 700 points or less. Then try to tackle each problem that you encounter about your strategy one by one. By finding out on your own what you do wrong or by checking old topic on the forums.

Ultimately, playing against humans is the best way to learn. Many players won't mind chatting after the battle and you will collect a lot informations quickly.

Why is this, did most panzer uniforms have death's heads on their collars?

Totenkopf was the 3rd SS division, Das Reich is the second. The skulls were present on Werhmacht Panzer wrap collar tabs.

SS Panzer wrap collar tabs would have the runes on one side and the rank on the other. The skull was on the crew's headgear.

most of the uniforms sport a Luftwaffe style eagle instead of the normal wehrmacht breast eagle.

The pictures on the right are Luftwaffe, those on the left have the Werhmacht breast eagle insigna. It may looks like the wings aren't straight, but it's because of the screenshot angle and they seem covered a bit by the collar flap.
