  1. Good grief, can you believe that I was 11M, IV ID ten years ago??? (No, I'm not Pvt. Pyle!) Yes, MOUT is MILITARY OPERATIONS in Urban Terrain! "To The Last Man"...I'll check it out, I hope it's yours, Andreas! Thanks, all!
  2. So, uh, fellas, any MOUT scenarios y'all care to recommend?? "Parisian Walk" is nice but not "big" enough..."Saving Puerto Rico" can't be played as the Germans....
  3. Oops, that's Mounted OPERATIONS in Urban Terrain...teehee!
  4. Where are the Mounted Combat in Urban Terrain (MOUT) scenarios? There's only one on the CMBO:SE disc which qualifies as MOUT (the Parisian one), which, while nice, is rather small, map-wise. I ask again: can anyone recommend some nice MOUT scenarios? I'll get around to trying my own in another year, I think, but for now, I'm still exploring all the nuances of the included scenarios! Unfortunately, it seems that only one can really qualify as urban warfare!
  5. Well, what's the deal with the "Gully High" scenario? I have it on my CMBO:SE CD, but I can play neither the Allied nor Axis side! There is no description for it, no briefing, no units, no nothing except a map! And why can't I play as the Germans in that "Saving Puerto Rico" scenario?? I know the scenario designer designed it that way -- but how is that "technically possible", I wonder? Any way around this??? Also, what are the names of the scenarios which constitute the CMBO demo? Are they included on my CMBO:SE disc?? Lastly: are there any urban combat scenarios which are really good? I'm interested in both "pure" infantry, "mechanized", and "combined arms" ops...are there any on the CMBO:SE CD?? Tanks!
  6. I disagree that "BoB" is not balanced against the Germans, as you say, like so many other scenarios. I've tried just charging down the road with my Royal Tigers, but the TacAI will simply pick 'em off from the sides if that's done: many times I've lost Royal Tigers to side penetrations from like 800-900 meters away! In that regard, the TacAI seems stupidly aggressive. I mean, the only tactic is to ambush the Royal Tigers with a few bum rushes! But the TacAI just presents its units for target practice one after the other.... I've often imagined how I would handle a human player playing as the Nazis...but I conclude that, while they might get wise to ambushes, and scout out potential ambush sites, ultimately they will be bogged down by having to do recon in force so much that a war of "temporal attrition" (where I simply hold out until turn 40) will have me inevitably winning the scenario as the Americans....
  7. This is the most gut-level gratification to be found in all of CMBO:SE, I do believe! Makes me wish for CM: Arcade Edition! The tactic of bum-rushing the Royal Tigers is the only way to go, really. I like waiting 'til they're close, just summitting a hill, and then I come out from all sides -- even the front, once the lead elements turn around to face threats on their flanks and rears! I especially like driving a few Chaffees into the midst of a by-then gaggle-f'cked Royal Tiger column...lots of fun to watch their turrets traverse every which way!
