  1. hmmm.. with all this talk of extra fees for international customers for import vat, I'm very curious.. for some reason I'm holding out on buying this game in the initial first wave of pre/release due to being distracted from my study by its awesomeness ...

how much to Australia then i wonder ?!?.. any Aus poster have any idea :D ?

GST doesnt apply to items imported under $1000 in Australia :)

  2. What are those vehicles the Aussie S.A.S. is operating? They look like cutdown 6x6s, or some such
They are LRPVs (Long Range Patrol Vehicle).

    Clicky

IMO a LRDG type of force doesnt hold ground. Instead they provide eyes on the ground over an extremly large area. They can conduct a variety of tasks "hearts and minds", raids, road blocks.

They are a force multiplier, they allow a small number of men and equipment to influence a large area allowing the normal formations to be concentrated in other places.

I think it is a bit of a gamble by the Brits as normally this task is done by elite troops. Can a standard regiment perform as well?

  4. Vissited the Museum today after dropping my brother off at his baracks. It was a rather hot and sunny day so the light contrast in some of the shots is a wee bit high :( Enjoy the pics.

Sentinel, An aussie design in the early 40's. The ammount of slopped armour on this tank surprised me for when it was made.
