  1. Well, thanks for the help you B*stards! Of course you guys are right, the game is more fun if I figure it out for myself. However, I have never played an exit game before so I have no idea if "in general" that it is better to pull troops off the map ASAP or to do a fighting retreat (wrt final victory points). I think I saw a post discussing how victory points are awarded in exit games in the general forum. I guess I'll give that a read. Thnx for replying anyway, Kuch
  2. I've done a search and it looks like this scenario hasn't been discussed yet. Has anyone played it? I'm starting a PBEM game as the Russians and have a question about exiting some units. I'm supposed to exit the 'exhausted' engineers located at the victory flag the furthest from the exit side. Does it make more sense to just place them as close to the exit side as possible during setup which leaves that victory flag unguarded, but guarentees their safe exit, or leave them as the game defaults. Basically I'm asking if it is better to just try to remove the units your supposed to 'exit' ASAP or to use them to defend first? Please don't provide any 'spoilers' about the German troop strength or where they are coming from (although I pretty much can guess where they are coming from). Thanks, Kuch
  3. Well, now after 11 turns 9 out of 20 tanks are immobile. Has anyone ever seen this? Any comments? Thanks, Kucher
  4. Have any of you played a totally random quick setup and had weather that was conflicting? My friend set up a game that turned out to be December 1943. The temperature is "Extremely Cold". However, it is also "Wet" and thus my armor is bogging down on open terrain with extremely aggrevating frequency (I thought this may be a problem so I'm sticking with the hunt and move commands and to open ground). How can it be extremely cold and wet at the same time? In Russia with the extremely cold temperature, the ground and all water is frozen solid (the map shows this as all the ponds are ice). So why are my tanks getting bogged? Is this a bug or could this be due to ice or even the extreme cold screwing up my tanks? It is an assault so this affects me much more than him. I've already had a quarter of my armor become immobile with over another quarter currently bogged and the game is only 9 turns old. At this rate, I'll never advance a tank even close enough to an objective hex. I think this gave him a huge unfair advantage.
