  1. As the summer of 2007 dawns, two highly anticipated PC games , in development for years finally appear ready to be released. Each are spiritual successors to previous successful games although they are very different beyond that. Unfortunately, due to those nasty time/space/continuum disruptions the two games are merged into one. The result....

.....BIOSHOCK FORCE!...... Patrol alone through the wastes of Syria, listening to the logs of your fallen striker comrades, now hideous monsters. Recommend playing in real time as we-go just isn't the same anymore.

  2. Thanks for all your help Mike. One more question. I'm trying to find the Vichy French mod but I can't find it on the CMMOD Database. Is it on there and if so how do I search for it? (I tried typing the word "vichy" in the search but it came up empty on that site)

  3. I was in my local Electronics Boutique today and saw a retail copy of CMBB second hand for only $5 (Canadian) There is a whole whack of other games many years older than CMBB for much more... Just goes to show in my mind no matter how good a wargame is, it will always be a niche product. The masses simply don't like them in general so they drop in price. Hell Diablo costs more than $5 and it's almost 10 years old!!

  4. Ok presently I have the 4 rulesets from Combatmission HQ. Are there others? I have not been able to find them on the CM Mod Database (I find that site not too clear on how to find things) Please let me know if there are others to get besides the 4 (Germ Vehicles, Allied Vehicles, Misc, & Terrain)

  5. I've mentioned this in another thread but I'm new at the mod stuff and I don't have a clue what I'm doing wrong with that CMMOS program but I don't know how it works and how to use the mods. Basically I have to be walked through it coz I've spent 2 nights pulling my hair out trying to use the Fading hope and Desert fox desert rats stuff with CMMOS and I don't understand how to do it. Please help!!

  6. I've become extreamley frustrated over 2 days trying to figure out this thing. I'm trying to install mods for CMBO and use CMMOS. I downloaded the 4 rulesets which give me the tabs at the top of the program but I am totally confused as to where the mod files I download go. Reading the help file I'm guessing the *.bmp files go in my CMBO bmp directory and sounds go in the wav directory etc. There are other files like text files with info that I have no idea where they should go and I guess this is part of the problem. I need a very step by step guide like I'm retarded to guide me through coz I'm having no luck experimenting.

  8. I have a kind of contrary wish to many on this thread. Not only do I enjoy A.I. in games and am fascinated by how good many are. But I would like to see SC as well as the CM games have both sides controlled by the A.I. For all the old SSI games this was standard. I'm annoyed that most newer wargames don't have this option.

  9. The gist of this thread seems to be "put some A.I. into the players control" via so called dials or options etc and the response seems to keep being "IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSSIBLE..." I keep mentioning good ol Battles of Napoleon because it comes to mind but of course there were others. It gives lots of a.i. tweeks in to the hands of players. In very simple but effective ways. My request for all wargame makers is to put more of that control into players hands. Further more let the computer a.i. play against itself too. it's a great way to see how those tweeks affect play.

  10. I'm as guilty as the next guy for getting into arguments on here when a heated topic is going. I think CM since it is a finished product would be pretty hard to radically change it's A.I. with mods in the way graphics are. Frankly, I never had a problem with it's A.I. to begin with. I've seen much worse (John Tiller's games come to mind offhand) On a different Battlefront game, Strategic Command to my mind seems to have phenomnal A.I. Is it cheating??? If it is'nt, I have to salute the designer on a great job. smile.gif

As usual... the response to your posts is directly proportional to your ego's presentation. Condescending posts like you are well know for dictate the "spitballs" tossed back at you. If you were humble, even if illinformed (like Haohmaru), you would not garner such negative attention. As you have so many times in the past.

Steve, I have to say that this post sounds much more like your own personality than Jason's. With all due respect to you and Battlefront, I don't belive humility is a concept high on your list of priorities.
