I tried them recently in a QB. It worked fantastic. I advanced the ampulomet to the edge of some trees, just in range from the bunker and needed two or three shots and the bunker-crew bailed out.

I had the Problem with my Radeon 9700 (not PRO), whenever I used FSAA. After I hit the 'Play'-button I couldn't see any scenarios or savegames in the menu. After I Alt-Tabbed out and back in, it was ok. That problem I also had with my Geforce 4200.
The other problem - discussed to great length here already in several threads - being that most text in game (3D) has white blocks around it. The problem is, that the text is also white...
When I consider it now, I realise that actually with the new drivers the text was readable...hmm. Gotta check that again.
Ok, just checked - most of the text still white on white...

Hi all,
just tried the new 3.6 Catalyst from ATI and indeed they fixed something. When you enable anti-aliasing you can now read the text in the main menu without Alt-Tabbing out and in. The bad text in game and the fog-prob is still not fixed, despite my urgent mail, I sent..
A small enough improvement, but still...

It does in fact look a little bit ugly (nothing against MrNoobie's choice of color

Yes, it does!
Try it out. MrNoobie made a nice toned down blue color as background. Works ok, as MAsta_KFC pointed out, hopefully a temporary fix.. -

Hi,
I'm using a 9700 and have the same annoying problem when I turn on FSAA... Very sad, all other games work fine. Anyway, I found a little fix, which is not a thing of beauty but it might be refined..
In the .bmp-folder of CMBB there are three files (think they're called 1.bmp, 2.bmp + 3.bmp), depicting just alphabets and characters. Those are used to display text ingame. I edited the background color to magenta, hoping it would be interpreted as transparent - which it wasn't - but at least the text ingame had a magenta background and was readable. As I said, it it not a thing of beauty, but maybe someone tries fiddling with the colors a bit? I can't find the time at the moment.

Do you think any of the modders (apart from MrNoobie, who definitely warmed to that idea..
) would mind having their mods shared? I don't wanna step on someone's toes...Will let you know, if something shows up

I could mail some screenies to you, if you want. Posting them here in good quality would be a bit taxing size-wise. That is, if my GeForce4 128MB is what you had in mind with a really good graphics card ...?
Let me know and I prepare a nice collection of the various uniforms.

Andrew, thank you, your uniforms are so nice and detailed - got all of them. It's just a shame, they are stretched so brutally over the 3d models, that some of the fine detail (eg cuffs, seams) is lost in game..
They always make me want to get closer to the soldiers in game, but the game won't let me..

OK, this finally lured me out of my long ongoing lurk mode in this forum. When I was young, I learned you ought to thank people for gifts, so I start to mind my manners here.

I want to add my thanks to all you guys who are conributing so much time and effort to this game and thus to us, those who are "just" playing it (even more so since I guess you all have jobs and/or family, battlefront guys included
). You made the most incredible pc game of all times even more incredible. Thanks. Thanks. Thanks.And I want to add special thanks to the people of this forum/community, who where a pleasant surprise for me when I first came here, because I actually never came across a board where there's such a continuously friendly atmosphere - aside from some exceptions, of course..

Unfortunately, it wasn't fixed for me. Had my hopes high...
I have a 9700 non-pro, using latest Omega drivers (4.3).
