 Grr, on the first pass the P-51H knocked out a Greyhound and a Stuart and mauled a platoon with rockets. After a few turns it showed again, this time attacking the village with cannons, and I could hear it flying around for several turns again, until it attacked with cannons again targeting something in the village.
So yes, it seemed to be on the battlefield for much longer, perhaps waiting for suitable targets to show up after realizing THEY WE'RE MY /?#&!=/#/?¤ TROOPS he shot first.

In the Last Defense scenario, I had a Sherman sling some 75mm AP into the side of the Tiger, but the round, much to my inconvinience, bounced off, but the text said "Side lower hull hit" and the Tiger, which was moving, ground to a halt and stopped showing any signs of life. I didn't have time to see if that killed him since another round brewed the Tiger up, setting the nearby trees in fire too
Never seen anything like this before, did the spalling or the shock of the round knock out the crew?
Oh, and, 37mm canister is really damn nice

Same problem here, but you can get rid of the flickering by going into briefing and coming back, takes only 0,2 seconds, can't be done in action phase to. Interim solution

Nope, I captured a MG squad with all members alive in the Tunisian scenarioOriginally posted by PeterX:But will the MG squads, honoring past CM tradition, still wait till they're down to their last member before throwing in the towel? That's the real question.

Yeah, I took a lot of prisoners in the Tunisian scenario when a large force of my panzers flanked the Americans lines and stormed through them. Same thing happened in Italy, attacking as the Americans, many of the Germans caught between my attack surrendered quite easily instead of fighting to the death. Also bailed out crews surrendered almost instantly if the vehicle was swarmed by my troops.
I find this quite realistic and a welcome thing to see.

Cheers, still haven't gotten the mail yet though, damn slow inbox

I have heard that this "life" of yours is a common term used to refer to anything not Combat Mission. :mad:Originally posted by Salkin:So, what is this "life" that you are talking about ?

I do not know about you lot, but mine involves such things as pool parties, beautiful women, cocaine, rampant sex, fast cars, secret agents and explosions.

I can sell you mine if you buy me CMAK.

If I remember right, the +3 experience adds 3 experience levels to the AI units while the cost remains the same. So, when the AI buys a regular Tiger, instead it counts as 3 levels more experienced, so he gets an elite Tiger at the same price. Conscripts are veterans, Green troops are crack and so forth.
Oh, and, BFC have stated several times that the AI does not cheat. The superhuman survivors is probably fanaticism kicking in.

Ah, brings back memories about perhaps the most whiny, girly opponent I've had the displeasure of playing.
Long story short, I had a lone T-70 smash several halftracks (including flamethrower variants) and the guns they towed proceeding to put some tungsten into a Jagdpanzer's side, a Maxim sprayed his FO into oblivion, another advance on the other flank was met with my rifle platoon routing his halftrack, gun crew and following infantry.
All in all there were no exceptional feats of luck par a panzerschreck of his failing to hit my T34s some 150+ meters away and setting the house he was in on fire, routing himself. Most of the incidents were caused by poor command on his part.
He seemed rather pissed, surrendered and left calling me a lucky wanker or somesuch after having whined a fair bit.
Ah, I love forcing people to hate me!

*cough* Inside sources tell that the demo will be available 'SOON' (not this weekend, early next week?) and it will be 90+ megs because it is 'so full of cool stuff' *cough*

I take it the doctor didn't renew the prescription?
*carefully backs away from the thread*

In the few PBEMs I've played, we handled turn exchange via FTP, nice and clean.

I'd remember tungsten is not very effective against sloped armor, especially at range, so this might be a factor.
-
Tried googling and searching the forum for info on this, but no avail.
Anyone here got info on this gun? What exactly is it? How common, effectiveness, the whole deal.

I've never ever had a T34 bog, not mine nor my opponent's in the..err..hundreds of games I've played.

Heavy breakthrough tank in action
I love that tank, never leave home without it when attacking. It looks so cute and it shrugs off infantry AT weapons pretty good from my experience.
I have not downloaded the demo but how's it running on your rig?

P3 500mhz, 256 RAM, GeForce 2
Runs it just fine
