Re; Russian Defense I would advise using UK units to aid in Russian defense - if you control Persia then operate UK units into Russia. This is particularly nice as you can build UK air in N. Africa and then operate the Air into Russia where they use the leader to boost their effectiveness. I have found N. Africa to be the key. Good Luck, Jon M

I find many of my games seem to revolve around the ability (or lack thereof) of the Brits to take Persia early on. If they do so then (once Russia is in the war and the cities move up to 8s) they can build airunits in North Africa and operate ground and units units from North Africa to Russia. Big change in Russia's defense. Are others finding Persia so critical? Thank you, Jon M

Please forgive me I am new to this. I wonder if others are invading Italy with Allies in 1940? I use One French corp from Southern France and the Gib garrison. Take Palermo and Taranto on the turn Italy declares war. I wonder if the game might not be better served if one of the Italian armies started off as two corps - one in Palermo and Taranto. Thank you.
