What fact?  Cm has been optimized probably about as much as it is going to be.

Let me first start off by saying I have all the games and modules except one. That says what I think about the game but at the asking price today of around $60. there is a certain responsibility that comes with  that to make frame rate  and other improvements like certain animations of soldiers moving etc ongoing. There is always room or improvement and games like this that depend so much on graphics have to improve using the newer technology being offered.

  2. I don't know why I am having such a difficult time transferring the BF 4.0 Engine Manual PDF from my PC to my android tablet. At first I thought it was my tablet and tried to copy paste other PDFs and they worked without any problems. The Combat Mission game PDFs won't paste. I hope there is a simple fix to this. Thanks

  3. Ok so the bottom line is there is low fps for a series of games that in my opinion should have been better optimized by now. They have had plenty of time to do it. I like the game and have all the games and most modules but that fact still remains.

  4. Never checked FPS before but decided to take a look. I was surprised that even with my Nvidia 1080Ti  w/32gb memory and no mods installed I was getting a lot of stuttering jumps in FPS from 17-55 FPS with mostly 17-20 fps in action areas. Is this the norm?

Definitely not random. Mods are loaded using alphabetical order. Last in order is the on that gets loaded.

Getting replace file messages means you are copying a second mod that is modsing the same thing.

I think that is the problem. Mods with similar name tags for say the same type of vehicle are requesting overwrites.

  6. Forget about the Mod Manager for a moment. The question is this:

    1. Download several mods for lets say CMFB

    2. Extract zip to folder on desktop

    3. Copy and paste (or use mod manager doesn't matter) to the created Z folder in Data in CMFB.

4 When copying and pasting several vehicle mods to the Z folder for example I have gotten messages asking if I want to overwrite some previous file from another mod in the Z folder. That can't be good.

How do you handle installing several mods into anyone of the Combat Mission games and it asks to overwrite file/files? Yes or No? Usually it only seems to ask for one or two files and one of them is usually some sort of PDF file.

What I meant here is overwrite other mod files. All my mods are in the Z folder managed by a mod manager program.

I see you haven't got a response so I will try to help out.

I don't use a mod manager.  Not really sure what one is but I do have all the CM games (except Afghanistan) and have dozens of mods in each game. Some mods are game specific and not interchangeable.  The mods that are interchangeable I just copy.  So you only have to download a mod once, usually from  CMMODs III  http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/

I put a copy of the mod in each game, where applicable and keep a list of what mod is in each game on a Word document.  Then generally I never mess with a mod again unless an updated mod comes out or I come across one I like better.  When I get a new computer I transfer copies of the mods from one computer to the other either via Dropbox or a flash drive.  Some of the mods I downloaded about five years ago and have used them on three different computers and am still using them.  So there doesn't have to be shuffling around of mods except when you are moving them to a new computer.  Hope that helped.

Thanks and maybe you might be interested in this Mod Manager I found z Bee v14 Mod Manager here on Battlefront's website. It works.Makes it easy to load up mods then deactivate them back to vanilla.

    Grunts,

I'm sorry you're having problems.  We generally respond to requests for help the same day or next, even over weekends for the most part.  Which makes me think you aren't using the Help Desk, which is where we direct people for support needs.

    http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_contact&Itemid=3

There's also an email address, but that's less effective.  There are also various outdated ways to get in touch with us that customers sometimes still find despite us not promoting them.  I'm guessing you're using one of those.

Since your particular need requires submitting some personal info to get your code fixed you should use the Help Desk.

    Steve

I don't really want to be difficult but it appears you are trying to make it sound like it was my fault. I followed the directions for contacting Battlefront @ Customer Service as was directed on the Support Page and followed several directions of possible fixes on the forums. If contacting Customer Service through emails doesn't work efficiently then shouldn't it be removed?

Anyway I submitted a request to the Help Desk. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks

  10. I would've figured anyone over the age of sixteen would already have a pretty good handle on armor levels on WWII tanks. What's an on-screen graphic representation going to tell you about Panther armor that you don't already know?

That statement makes no sense. I've been tactical wargaming for a long time and I like it when the developers include an info screen about armor and unit rating and so on. I've always liked those games like ASL and ATS.

Also I just like it when I can compare data once and a while just to make sure the true values are in the vehicle or unit.
