  1. The first half-hour of Saving Private Ryan should do the trick. Or maybe Das Boot if you're in a naval battle. "Alarrrmm!"
  2. Norse, thanks for the tips. I know that some of those minor countries I conquered do automatically switch to the Axis side. I just wanted to see how many I could conquer myself! Last night I tried taking the USA. Took Boston and Portsmouth, came close to taking New York City. But time ran out in the demo. I'll have to buy the full game now!
  3. Well, it's been a long time since a game demo has pulled me away from God's plan (i.e. ravishing the delectable young... err.. never mind), so kudos is due to the brilliant Canadian-based designer of this game. I have a couple of questions about HQ units which I hope someone will be kind enough to answer: 1. I think I know what HQ units do (i.e. increase readiness, morale and supply of attached units). But how do you attach (or detach) specific units to (or from) them? Or is this done automatically by the game? 2. How do you determine what is an optimum (i.e. good) number of HQs to have? So far in the demo, I have not felt the need to buy one yet, but maybe I should have. Some notes: I managed to take Britain (0% difficulty, 0+ AI experience) but only on the last turn before the demo stops (April 18, 1941) and only when setting the US and USSR to neutral. It was devilishly satisfying seeing the computer announce that a new order had been established in Europe. On another occasion, I conquered Low Countries, Baltic States, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Rumania, Bulgaria, Greece, and invaded Turkey before time ran out. That was my "conquer-as-many-countries-as-you-can" challenge. Probably could have included Vichy France, Spain and Portugal if I had tried.
