  1. Just in: S. Korea saves power but loses real estate taxes on 60 to 70 "beach front properties "(and taxes and power are hell, had one in Hawaii), and N. Korea gets to .... IDK what they get out of it....back in Saturday Night Live?

My vote for SF:Korea 1950 and SF:Korea 20XX counted twice in one day!

I'd edit this if I could, initial report I read said 0 reported injuries.

Updated: The island is near the Koreas' disputed sea border. The attack killed at least two South Korean marines, set dozens of buildings ablaze and sent civilians fleeing for shelter.

  2. Steve , i have to say i have total respect for BF , your abilities, understanding of the market and business strategy. Its so fresh to get an insight into how games developers operate. I never have any fears about purchasing BF products as we know that the BF ethic will cascade throughout. Seriously good work chaps.

EA Execs are pretty good business men and have marketing ninjas. Just saying =)

  3. Anyone know why some of the ricochets (like around the 35 second mark) jump up in the air at such a sharp angle? It may be that they are hitting the side of a hill or something but it looks like at least some rounds are hitting flat ground at a shallow angle and then bouncing way up in the air. I would have expected them to skip along the ground more, ricocheting at around the same angle as they hit.

Or maybe the rounds are fragmenting on impact and I am seeing the times when the tracer fragment went up?

I was wondering this as well, so like most heavily populated Youtube comments, you can find someone who asked a question before you if you have the endurance to read enough....

    I got to June 20, 2009

  4. The one feature I would kill for is the ability to click on a unit and see its LOS. Shade areas with no LOS, or color the grid red/yellow/green, or WHATEVER - just let me know what the unit can see without having to click "target" and drag the pointer around.

Ditto for next available game new features are going in. I too have seen this feature in other games.

    A) no its not gamey

    and

    B) no I have no clue how hard it is (seems to be the two criteria for an idea).

  5. I read that a few times and didn't see any new info....doh!

I'm hoping one day CM will venture to the Pacific either circa WW2, Some where on the Korean Peninsula Circa 1950's, or Korea 20XX. I'll vote for Korea every time this comes up and I see it.

Apparently Koreans don't worry about a war with N. Korea, because there is no where to go, I learned that while my wifes cousin was over here. He got a funny look on his face when I told him some Americans call it the Forgotten War (I hate that too).

  6. And hey' date=' maybe it's time for an "ordinary person President" like Palin. The (almost all wealthy) political elites that we now have in govt are so separated from the problems of working people we have bizarre situations like the poor tax-paying sap having to bail out the super-wealthy who lost their $ in the stock market. <Sorry... rant over.>[/quote']

    Doh..........

  7. CMSF is a very enjoyable game, not a great simulation, so I don't worry about the above (much). It's much harder to create a fun game than an accurate (means boring to me) sim imo. But am amazed that some of the other threads make one think CMSF is supposed to be an accurate DoD sim.

I have seen you post something like this before. IL2 is still a game and a simulator. It can happen.
