  1. just wanted to add this, incase you didn't view the readme. "The demo itself has been stripped down to contain only those elements needed for playing the included 2 beta demo scenarios – this makes the demo small enough to be downloaded from the internet – so that what you have in your hands is NOT the complete game." ^---(this was taking out of the first paragraph..)
  2. icm1947, I'm talking about being rocked with 75mm, 50mm, and a 105mm...I remember some turns, rewinding multiple times, in amazement, watching shell after shell fly directly into the Pershing, and go spiraling into the distance. I guess luck it was....
  3. Heh-heh as one of my own Reg. Super Pershing tankers once said while the fog of war was on full: "Heh.heh...That german infantry unit over there is gun'nah be mighty surprise when he see's me coming" He's dead now...ah those panzerfaust...how i loathe the...
  4. will, my use of "cool" or as I like to refer to them as ,"whacky" tactics, are what makes the game even more fun then it already is. CMBO is your chemistry set, have at it. You may lose a ton of battles, but the bragging rights are worth it...heh-heh Many battles I've lost, but to see the "huh? What the ____!" look on my brothers face is totally worth it.
  5. Well, this experience will definitely make me think before purchasing another plane...I think I prefer the control of an artillery piece, then the randomness of a plane...heh-heh alot cheaper too...
  6. Two very strange things occurred through out the wee hours of this morning Sunday night battle. Let me set the stage. Random battle, TCP/IP game, 5000pts, Clear day, 60 turn max, dry weather, both I (allies) and my brother (axis) choose a VET fighter/bomber. I decided not to purchase flack guns, unlike my German opposition, who had 3. About turn 10, the planes came out to play. My fighter, even in the heat of flack, managed to easily take out about 4 pumas without a scratch. The Germans were not so lucky...My brother fighter was free to fly anywhere, and had plenty of live targets to shoot at, including a Super Pershing that was sitting in the open area (aka: flat n grassy). Unfortunately I think the German pilot had too much to drink the night before, because he repeatedly shot and destroyer vehicles that had been previously destroyed by German Puma on turn 5. After successfully "re-killing" the smoking dead tanks, he turned his sights on a friendly Jagdtiger hiding in a maze of buildings, just missing it with a carpet of bombs.... This occurrence helped my forces out greatly but I still can't help feeling not fully satisfied with that kinda win. My question is this: Why was the German plane attacking dead things? On the other side of the battle, I managed to bogged out a Super Pershing in a scattered tree. Even after being immobilized, I managed to take out 2 Puma, 1 Stutt43 Assault Howitzer, 1 Jagdtiger, and 2 Panthers before a rocket team took me out...Is this really possible? I know the armor on a Pershing is sweet, but being able to defect like 20 or so direct shots? All of these German tanks were at a slightly higher elevation, and hidden in and around heavy buildings. Any thoughts?

  8. Hi everyone, Been playing this game for about 2 years now, and just in the past 2 months, i've started to play TCP/IP with my older brother. I loved this game from the day I played the demo. Though I truly love this game, we managed to have a reoccurring theme. If either of the two of us chooses to have straight Veteran units, and the other chooses to have a mixture of Reg and Vets, the controller of the mixture always gets massacred. We've both witnessed the Vet in the mixture team act as if the were Regs or most of the time perform idiotic judgments. Many times, I've watched in horror, as a Vet tank, intermixed with Reg soldiers, continued to perform mistake after mistake, and utterly causing the downfall of the mixture army. Has anyone have this problem?
