  1. I have to say that until I read a tutorial (here) on how to use on map mortars, I couldn't figure out what use they were. I can't give any better application suggestions than what has already been written here! One of the things that keeps me coming back to this game is that there is no one right way to do something. Just when I think I have a scenario mastered, I'll read someone else's AAR and see how much I didn't notice in my battle.

I get like that too when I watch movies that have ridiculous crap portrayed in them (you should listen to me pick apart TOP GUN). Honest question though, how many panzers would have been around after the war to use as movie props? I'm sure the GROGS have some insight into this.
  3. I have had good results if I'm able to push the vehicle onto a road. I have always used reverse while puching and so far have not had the towing/pushing vehicle bog itself, so I think there is something to the reverse order theory (or maybe it's the living sacrifice I make each time I try to un-bog). Oh BTW when I was trained to drive a Bradley, we were taught to do the towing backwards (when possible) because reverse has a lower gear ratio meaning more torque/power. just my .02

  4. If I missed their being mentioned in this thread then beat me like I know you will. But, "Inside the Third Reich, by: Albert Speer" and "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, by: William L. Shirer" covers all three questions and many of the hows and whys of what did and didn't happen. As far as the Japanese and Americans fighting each other, unless the U.S. would have ended the embargo that we had placed on Japan after it's invasion of China, a conflict was inevitable.
