Excellent.Originally posted by Seanachai:Cats. Discerning animals, cats. But you can't like them.
Oh, but they cook up nice.
Perhaps you'd care to send me a card from your putative 'cat'.
Before I track down the little sod and have him with curry over rice, of course.
Pillock.[/QB]
Must send you a map.
As he's well known for tearing unwary children to shreds it'll be good to see him in a fair fight.
He adores curry.

Was mentioned a couple of days ago by MM that there are no registry entries etc. So it's OK just to delete the folder. To top it off, there appears to be no way to uninstall the demo; it doesn't appear in the add/remove window in the control panel, and it has no uninstall feature of it's own. Can I just delete the CMBB file or are there registry entries? -
Aahh, yes that'll be the reason.
You lot will of course need the practice.
Ooops.

Er...... sod the price, is it really not out until a month after the US release?

First tried pbem against myself just to see how it worked in practice.
If you don't enter a password when first asked for one then it will never ask for a password again.
May be the same situation that you have?

Hi Dale. If it's neutral territory then you have to declare war before you can land your troops. The available landing areas should be highlighted in white. After moving there on the next turn right click the transport and select Unload.

Ah! Someone who's even more ancient than meOne can sure tell who grew up with graphic interfaces! Some of us never got over DOSStarted off on the ZX80, have to say I prefer the GUI stuff.
Straha, the manual is 942Kb so it will be fine on a floppy disk. It'll be in C:\Program Files\Strategic Command\User Manual.pdf if you chose the default installation directory.

Just use Start - Programs - Strategic Command - User manual.
Saves wandering round the CD or drives.

Rats!

FWIW I've run the demo on 98, ME and Win2K on 3 machines and not had any problems.

Ok, thanks for the timely answers guys

Hi Schrullenhaft, a couple of points leading on from plastics problem.
As I live in the UK and only have an 'ageing' CD/RW in my laptop I'm likely to hit the same problem with a CDV version of CMBB.
Can you confirm that Safedisc will be used by CDV again, if so I'll order from your website.
Would drive me potty to get a version that won't run

You'll need an HQ unit to ensure some level of supply. If you check your units before you attack you'll no doubt find that they have zero supply which is why their attacks are ineffective.

Ah well, least it doesn't say cancelled due to lack of demand
CMBO on a laptop?

markshot, CMBO should run like a dream on that spec machine.
My PIII 800mhz Tosh with 128mb RAM and 16mb geoforce Go runs CMBO really well.
I'd go for the 15in screen though and as suggested a good pair of headphones.
