Could we play a hot seat game and mail each other our saved games? An idea but I supect it wont work? T.

I have started my first PBEM game. I am playing Death of Titans with a friend. The file sizes are large, after 3 turns they are up to 1.6 meg. Zipping helps a bit. Is this normal? Is there anyway of PBEM with smaller files? T.
