Goanna,
Sorry for the delay in the AAR. A great scenario! The night feature really puts the
battle face to face! I left the units in place (defualt setup). As the allies, I was
taken by suprise by the AI on the far left side of the front line. The kraut tanks were easly picked off, except the Tiger, who blow
a big hole in my lines.
The reenforcements (tanks) that came up,
blow out any krauts (and their armor) that was still on the far right side of the map.
With the snow and it's difficulties, one must play ahead to keep the Brits fresh. The only thing that I would recomend would be to increase the battle turn number. It was at 30? I might push that to 40 or 45 due to the slowed movements caused by the snow.
Thanks, feel free to just send another one around for a test.
Later, Kurt

Right on Fieldmarshel!(sp)
Nutball, When the enemy has tanks of any kind in the area, they should be your main concern. If you're the allies, the krauts MGs should also be a concern. If you must move your tanks out into the open, have them lay down smoke as they move and have them move on "fast" mode to a predetermined spot that offers adequate cover for a tank. I always have my zooks riding on my tanks, so when I see an opportunity to have them jump off and run forward to out flank an enemy tank, they are not already tired.
Basicly, I take on the enemie's biggest killers first. Then work the enemy down to their kitchen police!!
Hope this helps, Warhammer
P.S. the previous post was a great idea; work your way up to a scenerio like that!

I'm just wondering if there is a way to save
the entire cm cd to the hard drive. So the
original cd won't become damaged??

Thanks Colonel & WWB-99,
I'll get some research done on the
topic. I bought the system this year, so I'll
find a way to boost my fire power as they say. Thanks for your help

Panzerwerfer42,
No idea at all. I got my info from an
Compaq customer service rep after they cleaned up hard drive for me!

Some advice!
Burn a backup copy for yourself, to
play from, or in my case, to hide from my
wife who "thinks" she has my only cd.
Long live Combat Mission!

Thanks Panzerwerfer42!
Yea really!! I'm finding a few holes
in the "special deal" I received. FYI, my
system was a package deal from Curcuit City
(monitor,printer,etc) for @$822.00 after all
the rebates. I still think my system has the
balls to host an on-line game though.
Thanks man!

So which do you all find easier or more popular to play, by email or tcp/ip??
thanks

Just to throw one more log on the fire:
I have a 866mhz compaq, with 128ram, but only
an 11mb video card. Could the video card be
causing my slow downs and quick freezes??
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I'm experiencing very brief stopage during all aspects of the game. From camera movements to issuing orders, etc. This has only started recently, I,ve had the game for well over a month. Ny system is a compaq- 866mhz, 128mb of ram, and a huge hard drive.
I'm playing from a burned back-up cd.
Thank you in advance,
