  4. Ive had a few problems too. Generally the PBEM will save the file has <filename>.txt in the CMBO/PBEM directory. The reason why the mail is found in the body of the text is the setup/configuration of the mail software. Have a look at your mail preferences in 'options' of your mailer software. (what you using?). The txt file (if im right) will either be 6k or 244kn - these should take more than a few minutes to download even with a slow conection (2k/sec) Follow the above instructions for copy/paste in notepad or text editor.

  6. help needed for foxholes - how come the enemy always seems to have foxholes and i dont ?! - Are they a standard feature ? How do you get in 'em ? Do you have to make 'em ? How many men can you get in 'em? ..... What happens to the foxes ??!!! oh lordy...

  10. PBEM is good but slow - so Im interested in multiplayer. Does anybody know the hardware(+instructions) you need to play a multiplayer game ? Anybody had any success building something at home ? If there are just 2 players can you link them using the serial/parallel ports or do you still need an IPX network or something equivalent ? :confused:
  11. I'll be playing this for years.... the disk is in my drive and i've superglued my drive bay closed. No need to open it again.
  12. Has any smart soldier bundled all the combat mission goodies - sounds/mods/drivers/patches/etc into a directory that is excessible over the net. Im just starting and finding it a minefield of info scattered everywhere... not that i mind minefields...but it would be easier. Any ideas of the best place to start? t(h)anks !!!
