The fact that they're modeled as vehicles means that arty won't supress them either right? I was under the impression that even if artillary was ineffective in destroying pillboxes, the concussive force of a hit or near miss was enough to shake up and supress the occupants for a bit. D

I'm fairly new to this fighting in the mud stuff, coming from an air power background. As a result I've got plenty of tomes covering the planes used by the various services during WWII, but very little (and nothing comprehensive) dealing with infantry weapons and armor. Can you guys recommend a couple of encylopediac type books covering allied & axis weaponry? I'm sure this is probably covered in a FAQ somewhere, but I'd like a bit of personal commentary and some insight into specific titles. What's the verdict on the Peter Chamberlain "Encyclopedias" of tanks that I found on Barnes&noble.com? The online reviews for the German version are pretty glowing. A couple of infantry books I'm considering are "U.S. Infantry Weapons of World War II" by Bruce Canfield and "Germany's Infantry Weapons, 1939-1945" & "Allied Infantry Weapons of World War Two" both by Terry Gander. Any infantry tactics "must have" titles, other than Rommels? Thanks, D

A point advantage, as I said above. The attackers are allowed more points to spend on their force than the defenders. This, despite the handicap setting (which I thought was supposed to control this), being set to "none." D

I've perused all of the FAQ's, and searched the manual, but perhaps I'm just missing this. It seems that in all scenario types other than "Meeting Engagement," the attacker gets a point advantage even if Handicap is set to "none." Why? Couldn't I just give 'em an advantage myself, if I thought they needed it? What are the percentage numbers for this advantage? Can I cancel it with one of the Handicap choices? (I'm away from my installed version of CM at the moment, so I can't check the numbers myself.) Thanks, D
