  1. Mikey, a Panther mod question for you...

I've loaded all your Panthers, love em, but am wondering about the 'decal' numbers.

The Panther D (early) has bmp 12542 and then the reverse number on bmp 12555...it works great, don't the other models have that extra turret side bmp? As is, if you use the decal number it looks right on one side and reversed on the other. or did I mess something up?

  2. Since we all have these honkin' huge HardDrives on our machines, I re-installed a second version of CMAK (thanks to a reference to that effect from MIES!). I already had my HardDrive divided

into five sub-drives, so I just picked a different one from the original CMAK load. Then I downloaded the scenarios, the rules, and ALL the mods they included, and put all the mods into my new installation .bmp folder,

overwriting what was there. Tried it out, ran the executable .exe file, it ran fine.

Got a great Kiwi friend from NZ ready to start this up -- we'll get into the 12-pak I think.

Thanks for the new format, the whole campaign-type idea with a twist. Looks fantastic!

  3. but Mr Oak, WW2 wasn't a Home & Garden interior decorator perfect mix-and-match color scheme, was it? The darks and lights surely existed together and the grays and greens and yellows must have clashed most of the time!

Now the scenery, that's another story, grass and trees and shrubbery always seem to blend their colors nicely...

  4. What could be finer than CMBB for Christmas?!!

It works like a charm, would like to get the patch while I'm just starting into CMBB.

Can't seem to get the patch site at Battlefront to show up...maybe the server is being overloaded today?? Is there any other site for this patch?

    U.S.A of course.

Any hints would be welcome here, thanks!

  5. Two good ways to never permanently lose your password:

Use PBEM Helper, a nice PBEM utility that saves your password so you never have to type it in.

    OR

Pick a poster on your wall in front of your computer (everyone has one, right?) and always choose your password from off that poster, either a persons name, a place, a light saber.... smile.gif Then when you forget it you can start typing in one after the other until you hit the right one.

  6. @#&^%&@# it, you guys are making me write this!

Tanks, I've held off on your trees up till yesterday, been using DD's trees and bases for over a year now and haven't liked anyone elses better. Yesterday I finally tried your trees, both firs and regular and they truly are fantastic! So, the trees stay in my bmp file.

But.......the bases, I went back to DD late yesterday. Look at your pic under this thread, it will show my thoughts that the trees and the bases together blend almost into one. In that pic there are two trees, and the one on the left is ALMOST blended into the background. When you do a whole forest like that, there are lots of specks all over with the trees and backgrounds almost merging(not quite!). Like I said, I love the trees but the bases don't work for my desired look. Once again personal preference only...

  7. A PBEM friend sent a scenario he'd made for us to test. When I try to load it up as first player it doesn't let me have the choice of German/Allies, it moves right to the Ally side and briefings. What did he miss when he created this scenario? Something didn't get saved it looks like, but what? Any ideas out there?

  8. Mr Lawyer, I've got the same thing you have, my

favorite Magua/Tanks/Panzertrup houses. If you check out the way the FileSets are made, you can easily make your own FileSet creating a .txt document using Notepad. Read the document with the CMMOS download and you'll see some of the higher numbers have been reserved for your personal use(I made a fileset 300-800 for mine).

Then copy the bmp's from your MOD file for your houses into another temp file, rename them with an extension that matches your Fileset. Example, bmp for the first house is 300.bmp; Magua's is 300_mag.bmp, Tanks is 300_tal.bmp, etc. Make a copy of your regular 300.bmp in a temp file and rename it 300_law.bmp or something like that. Do that for all the bmp's for all your favorite houses.

You have to make sure you have an icon of the right size in your Fileset and also an 'info.txt' document. Just keep checking the real ones and make your copy the same way.

The final result will be your new icon on the CMMOS interface under the 'buildings' folder, named 'Lawyer's houses' or whatever you've chosen.

Now when you click on that choice, only YOUR favorite houses will be loaded.

    Give it a shot.
