I've seen some maps that have contours.

Ummm, I guess that means no.

Has there been any thought given to adding a contour lines overlay to the maps or situation maps? I know that you can LOS and I know whats considered high ground but I think it would make what can or cannot see what better. Also, any thoughts on adding a r/click menu? brad

Agree with her, but remind her that it is a sad reality of life. As long as Mankind is, there will be wars. There is no Utopia. Wargaming is a tool to save lives (yours)as well as take them. Tell her chess is a wargame, should people stop playing that? Ask her to think about the major wars in history and what life would be like now if they weren't fought, if everybody rolled over and looked the other way. How many Races and Nationalities would be extinct by this time. How many people would be exterminated for their religious beliefs. Would the country she lives in now actually exist as she knows it, or could it be worse or better. brad

Tanks will always be around and these are just a few quick reasons why. 1) Its a major stand off weapon that's pretty accurate. 2) Main gun rounds are cheaper than missiles. 3) They are used as shields for the APC that's tucked in behind during movement to contact. (Read-52cal. bullets bounce off of steel better than aluminum ) 4) Tanks are good at taking major real estate but it does take the grunt to hold it. 5) Nowhere does a tank prove it's worth more than in desert warfare. Choppers are never as vulnerable as in the desert. And the most important reason is that the turbine engine is great at quickly heating up your MRE. brad

You wouldn't get it. You can use your leave time to do whatever or go where ever you want, unless its on a "Restricted Countries" list. The only way that would change is if you were assigned TDY (Temp Duty) but thats doubtful. You could check on being assigned to a region that has a miitary presence operating in it, ie: South America etc, but I'm not sure they would send a cherry(new guy, untrained) doc to it. ------------------ brad
