1. Ummm, your not addressing the issue. CMBB does not and will not run on any new Mac. Rave is ancient history. Umm, if you want to hit the mark you gotta be able to see it.
2. There has been an ongoing (past several months) thread about New Macs and others who have upgraded their video card (specifically ATI 9000 pro) not being able to play the game because they get a psychedelic display. After watching this thread and posting to it over the last several months it appears that the following sad truths are evident: 1)Apple is not doing anything about this issue 2)ATI is not doing anything about this issue 3)The games creator is not doing anything about this issue Which adds up to NO ONE is doing anything about this issue. I must say I find this very disheartening. I have enjoyed many many hours of great gameplay overthe past few years but it looks as if that is over now. In addition I will not be purchasing any more games from this company. While I don't blame them for doing nothing about this issue; there are to few people affected, it would cost to much to do it, it can't be fixed, etc., I would hope that they would take notice of the fact that they will be losing all their Mac customers in the future as people buy new machines. Again this may be of little consequence to battlefront, lets face it, we Mac users are to small a slice of the pie for them to stand up and get involved in trying to help us out. $'s talk, Macs walk. Again i want to stress that there are no hard feelings on my part, I am just very bummed that it looks like this is the end. If anybody hears of a real fix to the issue please let me know at: czara@attbi.com Thanks again battlefront for the good times.

4. G4 450 PPC, replaed old video card (which worked fine for THIS game) with new ATI 9000 Pro Mac Edition. Now I have a psychadelic display and a game I can't play. BUT.... here is the fix, get a cheap PCI card and throw it in a slot. I did this with a second monitor (but you could use the same one), and i can play. Thew only downside is I can't get the diplay resolution above 640x480. If anyone hears of another real fix I would love to know. I have a friend who is also in the same boat.
5. What needs to be done from the Allies side to win this one. It wasn't clear to me from thhe briefing.
6. Let me know if want a player. i have plenty of time to be involved. sboley@attbi.com
7. I need to know what port CM plays on via TCP/IP so i can configure forwarding on my network router and thus host games. does anyone know what port that would be? Thanks ahead of time.
8. I have an ongoing dispute with a friend that says there where no 105mm Shermans in WWII. I have seen some material on this tank in a book on military hardware, and it exists within CMBO. ( I trust the gang at Battlefront that they got this right.) What i am wondering is there a website that details this tank and when it was released and where it saw action. I had to be told i am wrong when i know i am right! Thanks in advance.
9. for what it's worth this is not a Windows issue. i get the same problems running Mac VS Mac on TCP/IP games
10. Where is the movie filed for each turn saved anyway? If anyone knows where I can find the above mentioned program please let me know.
quote:
Nuke em from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

11. I think it would be really excellent if there was some way to save each the "film" of each turn of a battle and string them together to make a "movie" of the entire battle that was fought. Has anyone tried this or are there any plans to make this possible in CM2. What do others think of this idea. I for one would love to watch an uninterupted replay of an entire battle after it was all done. I think besides the entertainment value it would be a great learning tool. 12. The server/post time should only relate where the hours are concerned, not the minutes. I wish someone would fix this (very simple) as my feeble mind has difficulty extrapolating temporal incongruities of this nature. I also pray for a spell checker feature but that's another story...
13. Looks like whatever server this BBS is being hosted on needs it's clocked synched. What's up?
14. can someone explain how member status is determined? Ie. junior member vs member etc. I read the FAQ but didn't see it. Thanks
