Did you, as i suggested, send the save file to BFC ?
That is the only way they can check if the behavior is possible a bug or somefink like that.'

hmmm MY hq units always die very quickly, it seems those guys attracks bullets like a magnet.
btw i think fanatism DO play an important role, fanatism guys wont be pinned down, but when you see the guys standing up, that is not meaning they all are standing up, but they shoot from lying or prone position offcourse.

Beavis !
If this pissed you off so much, that means you think CMBB is a great "game" !
Otherwise, if you thought it suck, you wouldn't be so upset.
Turn your negative energie into positive, and send the save turn file to somebody of BFC to check it.

Everybody who has IL-2 and did some bombing missions know its HARD to identify enemy tanks, even when they are a few hundred meters from each other.
The tanks in IL-2 are modelled ok, but when you are at 2000 feet and with lets say 250 mph, you see only some dark dots.
Edit: In real life you dont see red or blue icons hehehe.
When you cut the icons in IL-2 you know HOW hard it is, i bombed friendly tanks many times
You need VERY accurate info, or you have a good chance to bomb your own forces.
I think that attacks did not occur much when tanks were that close to each other, did they??

One question: I hope the skies in CMAK are better than the CMBB ones...thats the only part in CMBB i did not like at all.

When i saw your post i thought: ohoh i hope this time no people show up who are going to flame him.
Its sad i think like that, a few rotten appels can spoil the whole stock ( or something like that)
Thanks for the mod btw !

Hehe, classic mistake.Originally posted by theike:lol, i often do the opposite, Monty.
I tend to get in my tanks a little bit too quick when i THINK a route is save, (like in the pbem with my bro now...i just shot a wooden bunker in a tree line and it wend quiet there, so i drove on to link up with my infantry; came out of that same tree line suddenly a at gun just while i was riding by with my side towards it...;darn).
But still; i know what to do, but staying with what i know is mostly up to my mood while im playing.
One of his 'rules' i believe: sticking to your instincts?
A good player mostly have an AT gun next or behind a MG bunker, so enemy tanks see the MG bunker and think : ahhhhhh an easy target and drive to it........BOOOOMMMM

I knew all ( good ) points alleady too but i always screw up once in each pbem game i have done sofar LOL
Mostly i loose because i hold the tanks too far back to give cover for my inf. or i have the tanks lost too soon by unseen AT assets.

I did not see any accusations either, but just ignore such people.
We love your mods, cheers old bean !

Jaws,
That is a * Sharp photo you found there.
You actually discovered a method to make old photo's like new ones !!
I guess you recognised my footage pic of the town hehehe, or what is left of it
Maastrictian,
Thanks for explaining.

Hello Maastrictian,
Thanks for your post, they are good footage pics you have there.
Also thanks for the hints, i will use them for an updated version of mine later !
btw where did your nick Maastrictian came from ?
im just curious because in Holland we have a town called Maastricht and your nick is close to that name but i guess its purely coincidence.

Ok, i found another one.
Its a vilage which is under a murderous attack, several houses are rubbled and you see a lot of smoke and dust :
Post some more footage photo's in this thread if you find some !
Monty

Yep Werter, it left a scarf on my soul hehehe
I always have problems with attacking villages/city's , i can use some solid AAR's for getting good tactics on that terrain, any known around anybody ?
Monty
-
Recently i did an assault on a small village.
My men had to cross bridges, there were 3 of them , also some fords.
I dropped a LOT of smoke and 1 arty barrage on the village, and 3 company's went over the bridges with only a few casualties.
But then the smoke cleared and i tried to rush all my men into houses.....BIG mistake.
I had no overwatch postitions yet, the maxim's were not in postion yet and i had my (only) tank in reserve.
Result : COMPLETE MASSACRE !!
All my HQ units were dead within 2 turns, with about 80 % of all men 2 turns later and i surrendered.

I have no hurry to get CMAK, i have still tons of scenario's to play and im afraid i wont toch CMBB when CMAK is out (maybe not if there are not too much improvements )Originally posted by Prinz Eugen:[Every day waiting for it is a misery...
So i hope for small improvements hehehe....
Monty

Hehehe Jaws, i was rather surprised when you Blitzkrieged those panzers without inf. support to that road crossing i can tell you.
But if my men do nothing, its a good tactic maybe, the flag is neutral and it seems to get into a draw...

Well, ths squads who are not discovered yet also wont use grenades (yet)
I let you know how thing develop

Water Depth
in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Posted
No available fords = deep water ( who cares HOW deep it is exactly )
Deep ford available means passable for infantery only.
Shallow ford available means passable for infantery and vehicles.
