Have you tried deleting/renaming the intro video?
all it found was "Naughty Schoolgirls"
editions 1 through 32.
Those'll keep me busy while I re-download* the original game.

Looks to me like either
The patch deleted most the install
or PEBKS
I uninstalled ToW a while back then
installed the patch over an empty directory.
However, I do not recall having uninstalled ToW.
Will uninstall ToW, then reinstall old version
then Uber patch. If that doest fix it... I dunno.

though there are several options, the 3d manager
of my nvidia control panel doesn't show an option threaded optimizations.
I did turn off multi monitor
i tried rebooting.
i tried 1280 resoltion, desktop and in game
I tried lisence utility, which just runs the config util
told ToW to use one cpu
game still reporting an abnormal termination and to contact the vendor.
I have 3ghz ?dual core/hyperthreaded/other buzzword? cpu
geforce 7300 gs PCIex16
XP Home, most patches
very latest stable nvidia drivers
desperately want to give the uber patch a solid tryout.

True combat rules isn't for everyone.
For me, it.. doubled, maybe tripled, the fun of CMBB.
I was excited to update the rules for cmsf, but alas, i don't enjoy the game.

realistic or not realistic, file size, click fest/ not click fest, et5c etc, i don't care, to each their own.
I like playing tcp and taunting my opponent live.
I REALLY like watching the movies, especially with the great eye candy of the cmsf engine.
I'd hate to miss the replay of blowing up opfors last M1 with my sneaky rpg dudes just because i'm looking at another part of the battle at the time.

Ya like that, huh? Why don't you send a bradly to come pick up the bodies".
So if that combo's not there, there goes 80% of the fun for me. I've put down several great games because of no wego w/replay.

I was somewhat recently a contractor there.
I think I was the only one not using vista on the desktop.
That was pre-release though.
Current M$ contacts use Vista desktop in house.
I seriously doubt the vast majority do not use it in house.
Server dudes, operations may not though. I have no knowledge of that.
If so I would not be suprised. I don't think the vista-ized server version is available yet is it?
I do know a small portion of their business operation runs on software
not available on windows. It's been like that forever. nothing to do with vista.
