  1. Just checked. This seems to be an issue only during QB selection. The editor uses the correct time frame for the Pz IIIf (06/41 - 12/42).

BTW, if needed, you can easily create a yellow Pz IIIf by copying the yellow graphic files of a similar Pz III to the unused "yellow" location of the Pz IIIf (108600 - 108619).

  2. Well, here's an easy explanation and an easy solution:

The original CMBB had a graphical bug as the Romanian PSW222 and the German SdKfz 250/1 shared the same textures (summer 13601 / winter 63601) for the upper hull.

As the German SPW was more common than the Romanian PSW, most mods used the correct SPW texture for 13601/63601 neglecting the adverse effect on the PSW. This was especially true for the SPW winter mods like the one from Panzermartin.

With patch v102 the bug was corrected.

While PSW still uses 13601 / 63601, the SPW 250/1 got the 13661 / 63661 for the upper hull texture.

The patch also included the correct summer textures.

Winter mods which are "older" than v102 don't work with this change of course.

    Here's the simple workaround:

(valid only if you have SPW/PSW winter mods installed)

    1) Check the file 63601. This should be the correct upper-hull winter texture for the SPW 250/1.

    2) Rename this file to 63661.

    3) Open (if installed) a winter upper-hull texture from another PSW model (57381 as an example)

    4) Save this file as 63601.

    5) Check the result with the CMBB editor

    Done. Hope this helps

  3. This is from the "Band-of-Brothers" FAQ website:

How to make a 100% secure Battle/Scenario in CMBO

    1. Create the battle as normal, but DO NOT TOURNAMENT SAVE IT. Just do a normal save.

    2. Now start the battle/scenario you just saved as a hotseat game and select whichever side you want, we'll call them side 1.

    3. Enter the password for side 1.

    4. When you get to the setup screen, do nothing but hit GO.

    5. Enter the password for side 2.

    6. When you get to the setup screen, save the game under any name you choose.

    7. Send the saved game to side 2 along with the password you used for side 2.

    8. Remember to also send an email to side 1 with the password you used for side 1.

Result: Side 2 starts the game, uses the password you sent to him, and gets his entire setup phase.

After he completes his setup he sends the file with his completed setup to side 1. Side 1 loads it, enters the password you sent him, and he also gets his entire setup phase.

Neither side is able to see the other side's troops without that side's password.

It sounds a little strange, but it really works.

One further note. Before loading the battle/scenario you have just created and password protecting the sides, be sure to keep a copy of the file somewhere so that you can always load it back into the editor and correct any errors you might have made.

  4. Another (small) issue:

The 75mm Inf Gun 1937, which is available from Oct 1944 onwards, is displayed in grey colors.

Looks like to be a pointer mismatch as there are yellow textures present.

Grey textures start with BMPs 4440

Yellow textures start with BMPs 104440

As the gun shares some textures with the 150mm Inf Gun there is no simple workaround with copying the yellow textures over the grey ones.

  5. Volker,

this has already been solved. It's an issue of some missing BMP files.

The same problems exists for the BT-2 and the VDC-R35.

I've uploaded a fix at the CM Mod Database.

Just look under my username (mike8g) for the file "Profile Pic Correction v.102"

You can also do a search in this forum. Madmatt has posted the missing files in a previous thread on this topic.

To second THumpre's opinion, here's what BoB is about:

This club is intended as a place for players to come together and do battle in the spirit of fun competition. Its not about winning or losing but having a good time and making friends with other players. This club is to be about mutual respect and sportsmanship.

The members of this club can feel assured that if they start a game with a fellow member that their opponent will stick around for the duration.

We always have tournaments running and in the works so if you join up it will only be a short time before you may sign up and participate in one. Many of our members have stepped up to run their own special competitions that adds to the fun and flavor of the club. Then there are the campaign games and it looks like we'll have two or three running at the same time. They range from around a dozen players to over thirty.
