I'd imagine they are a lot less efective? Guess I should try it for myself. Tony
 2.
quote:
Originally posted by Loki: I'm not sure off hand. I am going to assume you unzipped them and placed them in the BMP directory right?

I found out what the problem is. Turns out it's related to the amount of memory on the video card. I normally run at 1280x1024 using a 16MB V3. 16MB is not enough memory to use hi-res grid textures at that resolution. If I drop the res down it works fine. I think it's about that time of year to upgrade the video card Tony
 3. I've downloaded some of the above files from CombatHQ, both lo and hi res, and can't seem to get it to work. I've placed the bmp's in the bmp directory but there's no grid when I start a game. Any ideas? Thanks.
 4. >The men weren't killed instantly, they >are/were waiting for help, which is very >different. I've seen this be debated over the last few days. The Russians say the sailers had been tapping messages on the hull and that all were initially alive and that now the tapping has stopped. Americans, who I imagine have been listening the whole time, maybe even since the sub was first set to sea, say there has never been any kind of tapping and indicating that they all died when the explosions happened. The second explosion was apparently far worse than the first.
