  1. Thank You! I figured there had to be updated ATI drivers, but couldn't find them. Pulled them out with tomeviewer and life's good.
  2. http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/mac/HIGOS8Guide/thig-56.html#MARKER-9-18 [url=http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n22077]http://til.info.apple.com/techinfo.nsf/artnum/n22077
  3. I'm not about to make a special extension set to play this game. Yes I get the standard Mac OS CM popup when I control click a unit. If it used one of the newer APIs like OpenGL, I could drop to windowed mode and turn them off like for any other ap, is there a way to get a windowed mode out of the RAVE that CM seems to use?
  4. Computer info for me: Starmax 3000/180 w/ G3 300/1M upgrade card, 160 real M no VM, approx 100M free when running game, memory set to 85M for CM, OS 8.6
  5. Umm, maybe I'm the one not making myself clear. If I try to control click anything within CM, the standard apple contextual menu shows up, because I control-clicked. So my question is how do I control-click something within the game, or are those directions based on the PC and with the mac I'm supposed to do something else?
  6. That installer is almost a year old at this point, dated in december 99. ATI is just downright awful in regard to updating their mac drivers. If they do have newer drivers, please post a link to them, the 'universal' driver is just way too old. PS: Even apple seems to know that, because OpenGL has updates to the ATI drivers included within it.
  7. Umm, ok, but what do I do then, in the tutorial, when it tells me to control-click something? On the mac do I just hold down the mouse instead?
  8. I can get it to work by disabling the 3dx RAVE extension. Nothing I did could make it run with my voodoo3 card, which is a shame, since it has lots more horsepower than the ATI.
  9. Ok, so how do I get a menubar, so I can choose to "turn off contextual menus in Combat Mission"? With them on, everytime I control click I get a contextual menu instead. I mean, hasn't apple said not to use the control key along with clicks as a modifier since it introduced contextual menus back in 8.0?
  10. I have a dual monitor setup, error is the same regardless of which monitor is the 'main,' ie, has the menubar on it. Symptom: The game drops into macsbug with an error in IsValidTexture, stdlog dump saved and available on request. Video Cards, ATI Xclaim XV 128 (16M) and Voodoo3/2000. Machine: Starmax 3000/180, upgraded to G3 300/1M, 160 M memory, no VM.
