Nope. As per the read me and elsewhere in this thread the interest was only in the WW2 titles. Will be up to someone else to redux all the modern titles. I think there already is a mod or two for the modern era UI. More CMBS and CMSF2 though.

If I were to do a UI mod for CMCW could I use the Jujus mod as a base?  That is use the bits I like.

  2. Ok I just went into the scenario editor and made a quick scenario. Based on the available forces these branch icons and portraits might be limited to the formations. That is only Armor are found in a Mech Battalion. Same with Soviets; only infantry are in a Mech or Armor force so they get either of those icons/portraits assigned. Might have solved the problem.

  3. Ugly green images being? :)

It’s all stock except for the unit portrait which is a mod here by laurent 22. I’ve attached pic of mod.

First thing I thought was mod so I took it out of the Z mod folder and tried again but still same effect.

Yes this was an armor battalion purchase and then deleted the other companies. So yes should show tanker symbols and portraits right.

I don’t know of but can check out RezExplode. What would I be looking for with it?

    cheers

GH yeah I am surprised as well but I did play 3 not 2 scenarios and as Kingfish said I was dropped into disasters which I had to salvage something out of and turn the games around. All I can say is bad luck to the player who dropped out and who I replaced. smile.gif

Thanks Kingfish and everyone else for running the ROW tourney and the scenario designers for the great scenarios. Congrats to the other winners. Also Charl thanks for your generous offer and supporting ROW.

Is this truly the last ROW? I know this tourney dragged on a bit and there were a few drop outs, but there are still many keen and dedicated CM players out there. I am playing in some other tourneys at the moment which are all finishing way before deadlines set. Maybe recruitment for any future ROWs should look at a bigger audience including the other clubs and clans out there.

    Till next time....

  5. Here's some interesting info about the axis player’s nemesis the Russian AT rifles.

“The first russian AT rifle to be discussed here, the PTRD-41....…..main disadvantage was the excessively loud firing noise.

The PTRS-41, also called simply the PTRS……..main disadvantages were the frequent jams.

Any captured russian AT rifles were immediately used by the germans,

where it received the official foreign-weapon designation Panzerbüchse 783® for the PTRD, and Panzerbüchse 784® for the PTRS.

Tanks in WWII were not as tightly packaged as today, and while the 14.5mm

cartridge was generally capable of piercing the armor of many of the tanks it faced,

often the bullet just sailed right on through, missing anything that would disable the

tank, like main gun ammunition or one of the crew members. It was not unusual to

find a German tank after a battle with as many as a dozen or more holes in the armor

as Soviet infantry anti-tank rifle teams did their jobs.”

I can’t recall the PTRS jamming too often? And a loud firing noise on the PTRD would surely make it easier to spot?

Plus a dozen or more penetrating hits from AT rifles in CMBB is usually enough to knock out any light tank.
