1st - must say again - "I LOVE this Game!" TKS 4 making such a GREAT one. As you know with my VoodooII, 12MB, I cannot run "Smoke - Hi Res"; I mean, I can, BUT it looks like big transparent triangles; so, I opt for the "compatible" setting, which is OK, 4 sure. BUT - I was wondering if anyone here knows if I can set anything on the Advanced Settings Option for my VDII Card that would allow me to enjoy the Higher Res smoke, Explosions etc. like many of the rest here. I do not know sicum about all those settings and they warn you not to mess with them unless you know what you are doing - I don't, do you, IF so Please advise what setting to possibly change. and THANKS, Soldier ------------------ "I stink, therefore, I am!"

I too have this small rectangle that appears showing thru to desktop right after Start screen comes up and when I first move my cursor. Then it does it at various places when I go thru Setup Screens - ie - Orders etc. for Battle/operation. BUT, thank God, once you start playing it does not do it - only PRE-Game time. I am not running anything special that I know - I turned everything off like that a couple years ago. Any help or fix appreciated... TKS ------------------ "I stink, therefore, I am!"

THANKS Much to MadMatt et al - For ALL the GREAT CM additions at "our" HQ; Could someone please look in their BMP Folder and tell me a couple File #'s for the NEW Grass - so I can check my file to see if I got it or what -- I downloaded it the New Terrains and more BUT am using the NEW GoZilla ZipZilla and am not used to it. I cannot really "see" any real difference in my grass, does not seem softer like in example at HQ. I don't think/know if it really got installed. I have only been ENJOYING this GREAT game for a short time - and a while back when I zoomed in on one of my Bazooka men in the replay -- I was surprised to see him firing in the opposite direction of the enemy and the opposite direction I had told him to move; I didn't lose any sleep over it. BUT now today I moved was moving 2 of them into enemy tank range and ordered them, as they went, to fire on nearest target, then in re-play I see one of them following that to a "T" - but nearest was one of his own, he turned aroumd, away from enemy and fired two rounds pointed at a member of his own unit --- could it be he was taking out a crappy officer or NCO (Platoon)?? Anyway - when I check this other zook - he too was turned around - I searched and their was NO enemies to be seen in that area. PS - I downloaded that MOD that improves uniforms of US troops and it is GREAT - up close you see all the little goodies - This game and mods etc. are TOO MUCH! It feels so GOOD to be assimilated! Could someone please tell me what and how it is supposed to work when you initially start a Scenario and the units that belong together are all encircled by certain colors to indicate they belong together. This is great - BUT at top of screen under Setup Stage: the second thing it says is to "Hold down CNTRL and Move to where you want "whatever" and let up and they are moved. I have tried variations on this theme to NO Avail - I have a hard time doing it anyway - with one hand. It seems to me after playing the demo and now having the "real" thing - - - JUST Skip that 1st Setup (can't get them to do anything) and hit GO - - - then start the game. Please tell me "simply" what the sam hill am I missing? TKS ------------------ "I stink, therefore, I am!"

Yesterday, BIG day, I received my FULL Version of CM in the mail; BUT just like the Demo, I have a little square in the intro, info screens that does not fill in like it's surrounding area on the screen. I downloaded a Graphics Fix fm CMHQ but it is still there - does everybody have this? It does not happen after you start playing the game so it is not that big of a deal - just more annoying than anything. Also - I see there are some Movies that play If you have QuickTime on your machine - I do have Quicktime but have seen NO movies yet - -what is the deal there?? Glad to be here, and GLAD I stumbled across this GREAT Game - - - I was SOLD on it by the Gold Demo and am now awaiting the delivery of the FULL and Complete CM. Thank YOU everyone who put their ALL into this FINE "Work of Art" piece of Software for us all to enjoy - - - you deserve an "Oscar"! I await da BORG!
