Wasn't the first "panzerfaust-type" model the Panzerfaust Klein (30mm) in late 42? I believe it was also reusable. Just curious. I hadn't heard of any RPGs before this used by the Germs.

Update (correction?) on Winter War. Although
I received a catalog from Belle N Blade this week that had Winter War marked as a DVD I just called them (1800-230-5509) and they said it was not yet available on DVD. No date was given if or when it would be made available. Guess I'll have to scrath that one off my list. Sorry to get your hopes up. You can still order the video through them however and many war film critics consider it one of the best (anti)war films ever made. If I recall, it uses actual T-26 and T-28 tanks on loan from the USSR. Cheers.

Already own Seven Samurai, Ran, and Kagemusha. Winter War is available on DVD from "Belle 'n Blade" military books and videos catalog. I don't have the 1-800 -number for them right now but I can post it here later if anybody wants it.

Hey again. Here is what I decided on based on your responses and some research online. For my brother I'm buying Saving Pvt. Ryan, Gettysburgh (comes out Dec. 5th) and Das Boot ( Directors Cut). For myself, and I am surprised no one mentioned it, I'm getting Winter War. Thanks for the help.

Hovels and J&R miniatures have some nice 6mm stuff. Foam for hills can be cut and shaped easily. For forrests, take thin sheets of plastic, paint green or brown, then flock w/ train grass and glue on 4 or 5 trees per base. Hobby/train stores usually have small trees (HO scale) available.

Yes McAuliffe, I read Kipandersons answer and Machineman. I was looking for more specific answers than just " the Ardennes". From my understanding the Ardennes is a fairly large area. I can picture myself asking a cabby " take me to the Ardennes" and being dropped off in a forrest having no idea where I am or where any battlefields are from there. I was kinda hoping that someone might offer up a specific village where a monument is erected or where tanks or other material have been displayed on an actual battlefield.

I had a question for anyone else who reads the post. While there are some great museums listed above, no one has listed any battlefields, except Normandy. Are there any must see battlefields that anyone has been to?

Bovington Tank museum, London Imperial War museum, France is suposed to have a very good tank museum. I don't remember where but it was posted on this site once before. I have also heard that there is a good museum in or near Munchen. There is always Dachau as well if in Munchen. Cheers.
Just read Warpheads post. He has all the good stuff I was thinking of!

Ok, have to chime in here on the girlfriend topic. 1 month ago I owned not a single Dragon (GIJOE)12" figure. Then after coming into some extra money this month...well, lets just say my girlfried thought the first four figures on top of our entertainment center were "cute". Although she wished that they had real hair so she could comb it! But now my collection has risen to 9 w/ 2 more on the way and my Girlfriend has taken to calling them "Tribles". I have promised her that they will soon be moving to the bookshelf, as soon as I can figure out what to do w/ all the war books there.
