I use CM 1.05 to work with ModManager MCM3 1.5. Then I just switch to the Beta and everything is fine. No probs at all.

Played a few PBEM against a Canadian living in Germany (yes, you Mensch!). He loves to use those Churchill´s. First PBEM my armour got smoked, but the second one I bought the ultimate and most affordable killer of those ugly bastards ... JPz IV/70 ... with those it is quite easy to smoke those monsters ...

This is a known bug in the ATI drivers for the new iMacs and others. ATI works on the problem and BTS is also aware of it. According to MadMatt, a workaround should be available in the near future hopefully.

versiontracker reported a new driver for radeon / rage128pro cards. will try it out to see if the text box problems can be solved with it. anyone tried it yet ?

Warren is right. Playing CM on a brand-new iMac is a real pain. I am surprised, that no one at Apple knew about it, since I posted this bug several times to Apple Germany.
Also, it is time for BTS and ATI to come around with a real working solution for it. Unless this solution comes, I can no longer recommend buying CM and the following for iMac users (brand new ones).

))Diabled the ATI Driver update extension, rebooted and CM works good.
Only disadvantage is to rebbot all the time when using other applications due to reactive hardware acceleration. Otherwise great !
Problem was caused by the latest ATI drivers supplied by Apple (version dating July 2000; german version MacOS 9.04)

Texture boxes stay black all the time on my brand new iMac. BTS any clues how to fix it. ATI universal installer is no solution due to miserable detail in any resolution.

To BTS:
MacOS 9.04 german on a new iMac DVSE 500 Mhz. All texture boxes are black and w/o info´s. Installing the UniInst 4.2 does not work due to older driver models. What fix can be applied ?

Seems to be the same problem I have to live with. Do you have texture box problems too ? Seems to be a bug in the video drivers. ATI drivers are too old ...
Also installing the Universal Driver 4.2 does not work. BTS please figure this problem out soon ...

Works nearly perfect for me. But stays in 640 x 480 all the time, unless ....
you use switchres 2 to prevent CM from changing the resolution !
Then all works fine. Happy gaming

No, just tried every option with my new DV SE / 500 and it doesn´t work. Still having no info´s in all the boxes. Hope ATI figures it out really soon. Playing w/o info´s really sucks ...

Nice to see that a lot of you are interested in the maps. I will catalogue my maps starting monday evening and then can take your wishes. Some maps I will send per e-mail, some I will post on the web (if the friend of mine, who makes my site works harder faster) as soon as possible.
