1. Nope, it wasn't. In fact that part of the map isn't even part of the first battle map in the operation. The operation is titled "A Long Days March". The second battle gives you two TRP's to plot. If you try and move one of the markers clear to the back of the map where the far town is, there'll be some light woods to the left of the road near one of the houses, if you run the move cursor over the ground you'll find the text showing "scattered trees" then "foxhole" in one location" I didn't try to find any others as I didn't want to spoil the battle for myself.

  2. During the Setup phase for my second battle of an operation as an attacker, I was given 2 TRP's to plot. When trying to locate a suspect enemy position to place one I found I was able to run the move cursor over the terrain and find a foxhole location (no graphic just cursor text) well behind enemy lines even though my troops haven't even spotted it yet. Even if they could see that far they wouldn't be able to make out a foxhole in light woods anyway. I fear this is a glitch and if people can do this with a TRP plot then maybe all forms of targeting lines will reveal such terrain features before battles that should stay hidden until found.

  3. Hiya there Norse an all. Jus wanted to say a bit for thought. I have been to Tromso a couple of times in the last few years (sailor dude) and lemme jus say that the people there are awesome, and unlike most of the rest of the world, they're one of the few countries of which the bulk of a nations peoples do not have any desires whatsoever to move (export) to the US for a better way of living etc..., or any other country for that matter. They have a clean and non-violent view of life and have much desire to stay put. They have a type of culture that I would love to settle down in and could be satisfied with for the rest of my days. You know, that cozy everyone knows everyone small town, country type living. Now that, to me at least, says alot. The only reason I could see me wanting to leave there was the fact that a pint of brewsky was around 7.50 (USD) at the time and funds were drying up fast tongue.gif cheers...

I am a state employee, I work hard for less money than I could make as a programmer in the private sector, and I am a veteran and feel that I DO deserve a day off for having spent 6 years on an f'ing submarine even if some of my co-workers do not.

Please leave my Veteran's day out of your activism and at the same time learn the wisdom of not tarring with so wide a brush.

  6. I think they should go back to the reliable pbem style method even if it means a turn takes slightly longer. We wouldn't want to find out a month from now that there was something unforseen and have to go through all the waiting again. And even if it worked perfect (which we might not know right off) some questions still might be raised in an online game if a glitch occured. The pbem way will at least rule out the tcp/ip play method as the cause.

  7. I had the same thing happen to me. Right at the end of a turn (sec 59 or 60) I blew up an M8 from behind and when I went to plan my next turn, low an behold it was back alive. I reloaded the previous turn and this time after the movie played, the M8 was still destroyed so I guess it was a small glitch.

  8. Heya there all. I just encountered something I aint seen before. I just received a setup file and I'm the defender in an attack QB. I see the normal little and big grey flags with a ? on them, but there's this big blank white flag on one location. Anyone seen this before? Is it a random flag or something else (like special)? Any help appreciated. Thx much...
