I've got two sources for you. An original 1:50,000 D-Day map of the Juno Beach - Caen area and a larger scale map from the book Maple Leaf route: Caen. Both are siutable for providing a reasonalby detailed battle map. Aha! That's done it. Now why didn't the manual mention that? :\

I asm able to scroll with the compass rose but it stops scrolling at 11 large squares width and height using a 2000m square map setting

I am a little confused about the sizing of user-created maps. When attempting to create a new battle map I set the map size to 2000m x 2000m. However the visual grid of the map only allows me to scroll out to 1100m x 1100m. Why? This "scale" is even more extremely out of whack when I attempt to create a large operation map. Are the small squares not 20m x 20m and the larger superimposed ones 1 click each side? What is going wrong? what am I doing wrong
