Rommel, in a captured british armored car (which he used as a command post), being caught behind enemy lines, and making it home safely. The best part would be that it would be a historical scenerio.

I would say most of the PC crowd are still using sub 1GHz machines. Most of them cannot afford to upgrade very often (fortunately, I'm not one of them). I'm sure a similar proportion exists with the Mac users. Why exclude 70 to 90% of your customer base just to accomidate a minority?This isn't really a mac version, it's an OS 9 version... which is, essentially, a piece of abandonware. Who can justify keeping legacy hardware for a single game? -

Release it please. Armdchair had some good arguements but the whole point of the scenario is to play as the Jewish Resistance, not the SS.

Your losses will be less if the airgroups are based in mountain or urban terrain.

As far as I understand; If one would add a certain mod after applying a CMMOS ruleset mod; that mod would overwrite that particular model, and leave the others untouched. The only problems would be with shared BMPs or applying another CMMOS ruleset which affects that particular mod.

zukkov had it right. The second world war was the ost front. Since I first installed CMBO I couldn't wait until the Great Patriotic War was done under the CM engine (and I was not disappointed either).

The Rifle on the Close Combat III box is a Lee-Enfield? I thought it looked just like my Mosin-Nagant (the real star of "Enemy at the Gates"). Now I'm curious as to why the British put a Hammer & Sickle on the receiver of my rifle.

I am having no problems with XP either. I am using a Nvidia gforce 2 with a P4 processor.
The first time a ran CM under XP the scenario screen was corrupted and the briefings didn't show; but after exiting and starting again everything has been normal.
After that, no further problems running under XP.

10 minutes after I played my first Combat Mission scenario I would have been willing to pay for the next one.

IMHO the 3 man squad shows the roots of CM.
Remember; this game started as a Squad Leader game. If the 3 man squad, 2 man crew, and 1 man leader doesn't remind me of the good ol' days; what could?

Personally, I have used all of the three major MOD managers available for the CM game system. When CMMOS first was available most of the mods didn't work with the system but the potential was great. Through the work of many dedicated CMers a large number of mods became available; but not all. The rule sets became a problem, some of the best mod were unavailable; and it was alot of work to convert them. The best right now is the (IMHO) McMMM system; with very little work all mods can be adapted to work with it.
CMMOS worked well but McMMM is a much easier system.
I would rather see Modders make McMMM mods than CMMOS ones.
