  1. Or just route them back to the edge of the map, to a company HQ and keep them there to re-coop. Thats the realisitic thing, a crew didn't go scout out ahead, they knew no infantry tactics and would want to get the hell out of the line of fire.

Let um have a good German beer while another tank is being fixed up behind the lines.

  2. By 1944 most Pz III's were converted into command vehicles with no main gun. It was a wooden dummy gun bolted onto the hull. These were used as forward observation posts for Arty and used for forward commands of the Panzer divisions. But such a large number had been destroyed in 1943, that the remaining amount really was better suited for the command roll and not wasting a good tank like a Panther or Tiger on a command tank. These command tanks usually had a map desk in the turret and a larger radio. I think that there were more antennas on these (my New Vanguard book is down stairs with the pics, I'm to lazy to get it smile.gif) I'm sure that there were a few Ausf J-N in the West, just not enough to make it into the game.

  3. I'd have to say the Pz III series because it opened the door for the STUG's. The Pz III's effectivenes wasn't very, but it sort of showed how the Panzertrupen could do with less and make it work in their battles in the early days of the war.

But in CMBO it would have to be the King Tiger. I've had one that took out 14 or 15 tanks and 40 infantry and not take a single casualty. Shells just kept boucning off of it.

  4. Ok I had a German Rifle 44 squad at 7 meters away from an M-10 TD and they popped up out of hiding and fired there one lone Panzerfaust at the tank. Boom! The tank was still there. Luckily I had a Pz IVJ coming and knock it out, but still how did the squad miss at 7m? I can spit 7m. They were not underfire either, just stood up and missed it

  5. I dont know what a mortor is smile.gif Just kidding.

Any way most mortar crews had rifles stowed away somewhere. The small arms production was very high, enough so that each cook and clerk could have one, so I'm sure that the mortar teams had atleast M1 Garands. Why its not in the game I don't know.
