  1. Three Kings is much like Kelly's heros. But the enviroment and story is different in the details. On another note, Clint Eastwood is in his 70's So he was alive in WW2. I believe he would of been 12-18 at the time.I am not entirely sure of his acctual age. But between those 2 age lines. He's right you know.

"Personally, I stopped watching when Clint Eastwood appeared - I mean, he wasn't even _born_ during WWII! How on earth can they have made this film? It was obviously a fake.

    David"

  2. Uh.... I could see dust clouds being a issue in North Africa but as far as Normandy goes there were not too many hot,dry days that acctually had landscape that would raise a dust cloud. Maybe a dirt road would but otherwise I couldnt see this being a major strategic issue.

  3. I am already working on a huge battle associated with the last push of Kampfgruppe Peiper (historic, even got a few of the units totally correct) There is one King Tiger but the "Elite" Tiger crews did not last long during the Ardennes offensive due to the massive Allied CAS and artillery. So few Tiger IIs saw acctual combat in the Bulge that the few accounts that do remain are sketchy accounts from Allied tankers (of which half claimed they capped a Tiger tank atleast once) But I do know Kampfgruppe Peiper had atleast 20 Koingstiger at the beginning of the assault (spearheading).

Mfred there already is a Wittman Operation and Battle with the game or else I would have made one.

  4. 2 problems from a guy who has designed a Omaha scenario (and realized I needed to make sand tiles first). The wheat tiles dont look right. You must make the entire beach flat in order to keep the wheat from breaking in sections. But the beach wasnt flat, it was sloped. Also another problem is the force size. A division is a few thousand men. Trust me when I say that it is going to be a slowwwwwwww battle. This might help you design your scenario atlwall.gif

  5. I am not putting this one up yet. My last one was bug rittled and it seemed as if I updated it every 5 minutes. I want to make sure I playtest this one fully. But just to give and idea of what it is about. 52 British Division rolled toward Middleburg during the early morning hours of the 4th of November 1944. The assault on the Axis fortress known as Walcheren Island was going quite well, yet quite bloody. Antwerp was the target but the allies needed to clear the vital Scheldt River of all coastal batteries before any resupply attempt could be made at Antwerp. Unfortuately the only way to secure Middleburg was to cross a well defended bridge that united the opposite shores of the canal. Ofcourse this bridge was well defended by the FallschirmjÄger and they were determined to stop any British advance. (FYI Middleburg was secure by the allies on the 6th) Well this mission is pretty unique as compared to the others. The narrow bridge makes for quite a trap. You have to love a game like Combat Mission, you guys at Big Time are the best wink.gif

  6. This should help you out a little. http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/BOOKS/WWII/utah/utah3.htm.

I already did a scenario on this. But did not release it. I manage to get 50% of my first wave on beach and I do use accurate bunker positions and MG positions.Utah and Omaha consisted of multiple waves. I am not sure if it was Omaha or Utah that had the 8 destroyers. But the other had cruisers. Opps sorry that is the Utah beach one. :P
